  1. Thanks Daxmatt, my miserable attempts failed.
  2. I've put it on E bay with literally a shed load of other Corrado and MX5 (Miata) bits. Item number is :- 281124741585 I do not know how to do a link unfortunately..
  3. I've finally decided to sell my VR6 Corrado, and have removed the VSR manifold. I'ts a long time since I've seen one advertised anywhere, and wondered what price I should ask for it. I think I paid about $1200 to a guy in the USA in 2006, does this sound about right ? Mike
  4. TSR built me an engine last month (Ouch...) They recommended lots of up and down revs for first 500 miles, (max 4000rpm), then max 5000rpm for next 500 miles, and an oil & filter change aftewr that. I did read on another site a recommendation of running in at constant high revs....motorway thrash but evidently this can lead to glazed bores (not to mention possible bearing failure I guess).
  5. I've got a VR6 cat replacement pipe (with O sensor plug) which I'm about to sell on bay...Email me if you're intereste and I'll send a pic.
  6. My Corrado was the same....really crummy tape which disintigrated. I used slit corrugated sleeving from Frosts...it looks much neater than tape, and is available in various sizes....I clipped mine together, and to various spots on the car with black tie wrap.
  7. I've not tried it on the Corrado yet, engine still being re-built, but I couldn't get my V8 MGB much under 7 secs, too much wheelspin....I talked to a guy who drags his MG at Santa Pod, and he confirms that it's really tricky to get off the line smartly, The Corrado VR6 is supposed to have some form of traction control...does it work ?
  8. Try www.race-technology.com I have one of their basic model meters, it's self powered, and has stickers to fix it temporarily on the dash. It does 0-whatever in 10 mph increments, g force acceleration and braking, and if you program it with the car data, it calculates wheel BHP. Mike
  9. I have 2 different upper inlet manifold, casting dates are 11/12/91 and 30/7/93. Looking underneath, the later one has a larger triangular shaped plenum chamber, whereas the earlier one is more 'L' shaped. Has anyone compared the performance of different standard manifolds ? I am not looking for hypothetical opinions ( I already have my own, thank you)., but comments from someone who has actually tested the two .
  10. There's a lot of nonsense talked about lagging...my V8 MGB exhausts have been lagged for years...Frost are the cheapest suppliers...I tried plumbers fibreglass lagging as used by TVR's racing dept...but it was very itchy to use and soon deteriorated. I've just bought a 6 branch for the Corrado, this is now lagged...goes on next week.
