    well bin to vw midland specialist and my maf sensor is shot and the lambda sensor is clickin on and off slowly.....or was it the maf lol...anyway there fooked...how much ? and does the 2.0l maf fit???? he also said possibly the sensors are making it smoke or the head needs a rebuilb. cheers

    hi, ive cleaned the breathers out and cleaned the isv and taken the throttle body off and cleaned that too...ive also taken the hall sensor off and cleaned that aswel.....still got bad idle but only seems to cut out when ive given it abit of stick and put the clutch in before i stop and it stalls it still likes to flicker up and down also, if i take my time i can stop it from doin it but its still not right...ive also noticed a snapped wire on one of the sensors...its the one where a pipe comes of the left side of the rocker cover and then a sensor is put in between the pipe that then runs to

    wow how much would vw charge to change the seals? the other day i was cleaning the isv out and it was clean after spraying carb cleaner init...the pipe that goes on isv leads to a box on the breather system with a metal plate underneath it ...should this be hissing? shall i clean all the breather pipes out and check the sensors on the engine and clean....what with? give her an oil change as shes due in 1000 miles anyway and do the fuel filter,oil filter, plugs and leads get it tuned and take it from there.

    cheers for the info m8....where did u get your vag com from...how much?.....why do u say head gasket? ps: a sticky vavle, what did u do?

    also what about clogged breathers or oil sat in them, i find it strange it only does it whenever it feels like it.

    hi there m8, im not sure what grade oil is in it....and as for the oil comsumption...it seems to be fine. i dont think theres any internal damage as it would smoke constantly.....my theory on the hill issue the other day would be, on vaccum its suckin real hard so its dragged some oil into the throttle body and burnt it off...once i opened the throttle it soon cleared up so i rekon the oils not been changed for a long time and or its the wrong grade and thin so its draggin through easier...would u recommend a thicker oil as the cars approx done 90,000 from what he told me coz its had the corra

    hi there im a newbie lookin for info, first off ive owned my new golf mk3 2.9 vr6 for about 3 weeks now and i find it smokes when it feels like it...on start up its smokin a blackish grey smoke which i believe to be very rich and it stinks of fuel out the back..when shes warm shes fine but when i give it some throttle.. sometimes the same colour smoke fires out the back...but once i was coming down a very steep hill in second gear revs quite high on vaccum then stopped it was smokin very bad and it smelt like burnt oil and was blue in colour but this soon cleared once i drove off...im also ha
