  1. Ideally 8:30 to 9 I guess, but as vehicle movements aren't prohibited, any time is possible. The stand should be easy to find, and there'll be a nice man to point the way. But in case of any problems I'm Da Man on Sunday so ring or text me: 07986 484169. That also goes for anyone who wants club clobber while I'm away from the stand. TG
  2. Maclaren have admitted it was his/their fault. His front wing snapped a support, suddenly reducing the front down force and overall drag
  3. Toddington services at 7:15 for a 7:30 roll out has been mentioned on the event thread.
  4. absolutely, can't afford to go if not camping.
  5. nothing vag-comable. Until the oil is up to temp she's very tempramental. oil pressure / tappets / valves from what I can gather reading the forum. Once warm she runs sweet as. I'm on the look out for an industrial amount of synta silva on Sunday. Please give me a nod if you see any traders or autojumblers selling it off at a good price. Along with G12+.
  6. I'll take the deafening silence as a no! I've got to, mine doesn't like starting in the morning so an afternoon start is good for me. I'll bring a tow rope in case I need help getting to the stand on Sunday! No fridge this time but Tescos has started selling charcoal again so the BBQ will be there and I'll bring plenty of tin foil for more of those lovely manifold pasties. see you 5:30 Saturday.
  7. Your are right, the box under the expansion tank is the fan controller. The normal running fan control switch is in the radiator, just by the PAS bottle IIRC. The switch on the thermostat is for the after run cooling. Try disconnecting both, one at a time as it could be either. This will tell you if one is stuck closed. But if your expansion bottle has been dropping water all over the controller it might be at fault, or might just need drying out. In the meantime pop the fan fuse out to stop it. But remember to put it back before you go driving! TG
  8. Aaaah, voltage drop test. We do drop tests at work which consist of dropping stuff 1.5m to see if it breaks. Couldn't quite see how that would test a battery. Lol.
  9. thanks kevin Can you give me a bit more detail on how to do the tests for the battery that you mention thanks Graham I've never heard of a battery drop test, but you can get gizmos quite cheap that tell you the state of the battery and charging circuit: http://www.screwfix.com/prods/14456/Automotive/Battery-Chargers-Starters/Battery-Alternator-Tester?cm_re=SEARCHPROMO-_-BATTERY%20TESTER-_-14456# It is basically just a volt meter but has easy to understand lights ,and instructions on test conditions. Anyway, glad you got it started. TG
  10. hope the seller pumps those tyres up before your bro picks it up ;-)
  11. There's nothing wrong with shouting a lot and drinking even more. It's drifting and doing hand brakes turns in the camp site / access roads that's the problem. And in that respect his behaviour is always impeccable.
  12. As a top club Danny is happy to allow us to camp but we will all need to be there by 17:30 as that's when he's going to let us in. We have to be on our best behavoiur, not that we aren't ever, and bring plenty of beer and food as I'm guessing there'll be nothing open, except I hope the toilets.
  13. So good, I've booked holiday and will be there Friday afternoon :-)
  14. Don't think the pictures appeared but a description of the problem is covered in this thread: http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?218612.post
  15. I wasn't even there! I was directing Jim by phone, from memory. I was already at the hotel - hiding in Mark and Helen's room.
  16. is the maf still showing the open circuit / short to earth error?
  17. well I had to make it look as exciting as the 'Ring proper 8o|
  18. cheers, nice vid. I was at the front and heard the radio chatter your convoy inspired before seeing you and the following porkers whizz past.
  19. Kellenhard, or as I dubbed it after a day driving in the rain, "feckin'hard".
