    Just found out from Northloop that the Truck Grand Prix is over that weekend, so camp site will be busy and noisey.

    Fair play to you Matt, you've put your hand up to it, so I certainly don't have a problem. It was suggested on another forum that you'd simply missed the Dutch border as the signage past Aachen is poor. Glad you enjoyed the rest of the trip. Absolute shame about the weather but you got rewarded for your dedication.

    it should have either 30, 109 or 299 printed on it. It's in relay position 3 which is 3 in from the left on the second row above the fuses.

    It's a tricky one. I agree the discussion needn't get personal like it did. But it happened, they've paid the price, no one is boasting about it so I don't think that we should sweep it under the carpet. I will make one quick edit though...

Dread to think what my mobile bill is going to be like, especially using GPRS to view the webcam before deciding what time to get out of bed. I was so pleasantly surprised by the weather on Sunday, far better then we could possibly imagine following Saturday. Did indeed have a good time, although I only drove one lap. My tyres had me understeering like no bodies business but at least they kept me moving in a straight line on the none toll roads. Anyway made up for it with pax

    thought you'd be happy. My apologies to the beemer drivers, but my eyes are only tuned to spot VDubs in thumbnails, especially at 1 O'clock in the morning. After driving back the hotel on Saturday afternoon, up and down un ploughed roads we thought we'd seen as much snow as we would. Others have car pictures proving that was a bit over optimistic.     I've now seen a similar thing on 2 MK3 16Vers. Mine would become lumpy mid range when warm and the other lost power in high revs when warm and it was down to the ECU supply relay. http://www.tiepie.com/uk/automotive/GMTO/VW_Golf_problem.html I'll have to double check which relay position is used on a VR and the number printed on it. On a 16ver it has 30 written on it but that's not to say a VR uses the same number. After all the money you've spent - I spent a fair bit before finding it :-( - a tenner on a relay even if just to see, unless you can borrow one, doesn't seem extreme. TG P.s. wa
