Available in Black, White, Burgundy in a straight cut ( S - XXL ) and Black and Lilac in Ladies style ( 8-16). All £15 other then XXL which are £17.50. I won't be taking advance orders for hoodies and fleeces as I only have limited stock. But will be selling them on a first come first served basis when the weather turns out to be like the rest of this so called Summer. TG
  4. Apart from one is twice as far. ;-) My vote would be for Weston
  5. Is that the Weston Favell Tesco extra just of the A43?
  6. You don't. Everyone books their own ferry place and accomodation, if not camping. The thread on Northloop was started by two strangers talking to a member in a barbers shop saying that they'll be no TF next year. I can't find anything stating that on the official website but also can no longer find the 'drive your own car' section of the said website. It's breaking news so we'll have to wait and see how it pans out. TG

    ITV

I was going to PM you about it yesterday, before it was suggested she went to UKMKIVs. But thought Shropshire might be too far. The filming will be Leeds in Sept.
  8. Now with the correct dates ;-) Also note that VRSick is having his stag event organised at the 'Ring for that weekend. I am led to believe that there's a strip joint in Adenau How did I not know that? You'll find me in the back room most nights this Easter.... Cheers' date=' Andy [/quote'] Although strip joint is a bit of a PC term for it. Brothel might be more accurate. From what I've heard anyway (h)

  10. The replacement parts are fairly cheap. But, by the book it's about 8hrs labour, go to a stealer who charge £90+vat an hour and it does soon add up. Last I knew stealth were charging £40+vat an hour. You assume right.
  11. Stoke VW spares charge £500 for chains/tensioners and a new clutch. At stealth and the phirm it's around £750
  12. Sounds good to me. The very cheapest you can get the chains and clutch done for is £500, with £700 being more usual. A raceland 6 branch is the thick end of £200 to buy. Does that price include heat proofing the 6 branch. If so, it's even keener
  13. Freetranslation.com has kaputt meaning broken.
  14. Just replace them with some suitably sized jubilee clips
  15. VW build them strong, my clutch was still fully operational when I had my chains done at 160K. If you can take a long screwdriver with you an use it as a stethascope to listen to the chain end of the engine. Tailgate rust is very common. As is removing the bulbs from the ABS/Airbag dislay so do check they come on. Using a lite oil is completely normal. Even from new VW say they can use 1L per 1000miles! One thing to check, which I don't think is in the buyers guide, is that from looking around the air filtr end of the engine is the first place to show head gasket problems with weeping/seep
  16. My bad, but AFAIK you only get one master and one slave. Unless my previous owner had lost a slave. On my OBD2 GTi, the one in to the VW alarm controls power to the engine - no dash activity if engaged - and the ECU one cuts off the spark as soon as the engine starts. Where as the aftermarket one on my OBD1 VR6 allows the car to turn over but inhibits the spark completely.
  17. Not necessarily if it's an after market system' date=' although most do. All the VW factory fitted systems do. And it can be done with the key if you hold it in the 'lock' position for a couple of seconds. Auto closure still puts a smile on my face every time :-p On later models ( OBD2 ) there is an immobiliser built into the ECU which detects a widget in the key which is separate from the alarm. VW charge a fortune to program replacement keys. Then there are the alarm fobs ( which in most cases also have another immobilser ) these activate the central locking and disable the alarm and

  20. As usual I've taken the day off work ( it takes a while to pack so much camping gear into a Golf ) so will meet for lunch. Hows about the Harvester / Beefeater / Generic carvery we went to for all we could eat last time? I think it was during Ed38. It was certainly a camping event 'cos I remember not eating ;-)
