    Automatic Number Plate Recognition. They primarily use it for finding untaxed and uninsured drivers. But each number is logged and kept on record indefinatly even if the car is 100% legit. For security reasons apparently :@ The 'square mile' has had a ring of steel made up of APNR cameras for years now and there's a more recent ring around the Meadowhall shopping center in Sheffield. I wouldn't be surprised if the London congestion charge system now routinely reports to the security services as well.

    Had you been anywhere near an APNR system? After recent events they may be more on the look out for cars in 'disguise'. TG

    Don't think so, if you are using petrol and not moving your MPG is bound to be low.

    I doubt we are going to get enough for club camping, which means we will all be in the first come first served camping fields. In which case, I'll be taking the Friday off to be there nice and early.

    When I did it online there didn't seem to be an option to specify club. They might want to know tickets / order numbers when I come to book the camping. In which case I'll fire PMs out.

    It's the first one, so can't really answer your questions. As said on another thread ( in the events section ) it's an opportunity to put faces to names, drink too much, make a tit of oneself ( although I'm still trying to live Bristol down ), talk dub/vr6 and spend some quality time with/without the family ;-)

    Well it's a black and white drawing ;-) I did find a colour photo of the t housing, I guess they had been swapped over on that.

    Hi ECT should be item #10 in this diagram: which is hiding amongst all the cooling pipe work at the passenger side of the engine. Note, I think it's the yellow one, it is possible that they have been moved around as all the sensors fit in all the holes! The lamda sensor plugs into the cat, in the front section of the exhaust - which is under the car ;-)

    I'd expect the £150 price to be for an exchange. Without the old cat., £350 doesn't sound out of order :-( If that is the case, I do still have my old cat. which may or may not fit your VR6 but should still be 'exchangeable'. It's too heavy to post so you'll have to come to the club show at Billing if you need it.

    If Bex has more than 1 gear I might pop up. But I have promised to go out for a drink with an old friend with gf problems sometime this week and if he can only make Wednesday he'll, I''m afraid, will get priority.

    And alot of people only log on when they have a problem, which is absolutely fine with us, but because of good old VW engineering can be infrequently.

" From experiance, the MaccyDee is hiding behind a travel lodge type place on the first road off the roundabout when coming up the north bound slip road. If coming south, it's still the first turning after the north bound slip road *-)
