  1. That's what I thought from the photos. There is a thread some where which details how to losen the idler pulley: http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?155363.post
  2. Have a look at this diagram to work out which pully is missing: http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?155147
  3. Here's a clearer picture of the snow locally. [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1174665724_2196_FT148551_cimg0189_edited_123.jpg][/lightbox] Even Blondie would be impressed ;-)
  4. If it is I won't be going! The hotel can be cancelled upto 24hrs before and if you got an 'open ticket' from Speedferries it'll only cost £10 to move it to later in the year, for another attempt at the 'Ring or a booze cruise.
  5. Damn, can't blame that one on my monitor.
  6. As always I'll have my little OBD code reader with me and will be happy to check over anyone's VDub.
  7. German Swedish and French now claim to stock the entire FK range as offical UK distributers http://www.gsfcarparts.com/fkoffer/
  8. Let's work backwards: Ferry @ 7am. Check in b4 6:30am Dover Leisure Centre @ 6am Thurrock Services @ 5am Birchanger Lane Services @ 4:30am Leave my flat @ 4:00am ( obviously only appropriate to me ;-) )
  9. Damn, beaten to it! Gonna post the pic anyway, as Cadguys will change as it (hopefully) melts. [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1174553646_2196_FT148551_webcam.jpg][/lightbox]
  10. Don't forget the clocks go forward this weekend ;-) The grasshopper looks a groovy place. Think I'll pop around to show support.
  11. Or to be more helpful: No, the fittings are different. You would need to change the entire inlet manifold, at least...
  12. My mistake! It's just the way it's programmed, this is the same page and shows up as secure. https://www.secure-server-hosting.com/secutran/secureforms/sh207687/gtibookingform.html
  13. My guess is for lower spec models which only have one headlight (each side!) by default.
  14. Note: the online booking form shows no sign of being secure! ie yellow URL bar or little padlock in bottom right corner of browser
  15. Same route as me then. :-) I will travel A14, M11 etc...... Will probably meet up with you at some point along the way. Any suggestions ? Mark. Enroute between M11/J8 (4:10) and M11/J10 (4:30) - I'll leave you a PMR at the Northampton meet so we can buzz each other - or Birchanger Lane services 4:30 (sharp!)
  16. We can hope, but passed experience indicates that it will be shut due to accidents for at least 2hrs a day, if not half of it.
  17. Convoys to Dover: It has been suggested that those coming clockwise round the M25 should meet up just before the Dartford crossing and cruise to Dover together. JP did name a place but I've forgotten! The hotel also has wireless so we can update the forum with 'Ring news. Although personally I don't have a laptop, wireless or not. TG
  18. Have a look at this thread mate http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?149258
  19. Does a traders policy cover fire and theft or are they part of the garages liability insurance?
  20. Depends how you managed to wire them up. Only lamps which come on as dipped beam need deflectors/masking
  21. I have seen deflectors advertised as being compatible with projector lenses. I've also read that black tape is just as effective albeit with caveats about heat build up! Have a quick google of other car forums. I'm going for tape on my headlight protectors.
