    Apart from Tesco's will have been shut for an hour. But otherwise I agree with Blondie.. Bring'em on. Maybe not the best place for show plates. There is a travel inn/beefeater type place at A14 J17 which would make a good plan B. The weather is looking a bit crap. TG

    No worries John, I think there are going to be enough snails for our own convoy: AndyL cant, Jason wont and I dont.... In theory any PMR radios will do, but the quality, and range does vary. The Cobras AndyL provided last time where good. Binetone are carp. I think we have this trip covered though ( 10 at last count ).

    Ordered a set of MT750s from FleaBay. £25 the pair. No batteries or charger though but frankly I already have enough NiMH AAAs!! So that's 10 we'll have between us. TG P.S. Speedferries have extended the £29 super ticket offer, again.

    Have you tried the old trick of disconnecting a lead and pluging an old spark plug in to see if you are getting a spark? I'm sorry, but that's the limit to my know-how.

    No, as the manifold is directly bolted to the engine the main heat source is conductive. Hence the 'need' for this heat proof gasket. Apperantly, there is a temperature sensor soemwhere in the intake which the ECU takes account off as part of the fuelling. TG

    It's long, flat and has six connectors although only the two at each end have wires, assuming you have a airbag warning lamp as well. Looking at the socket it plugs into on the lamp unit should give you a good idea of size. TG

    Hiya My dizzy cap cover has numbers 1..6 embossed by each connector and the platic engine covers have numbers to indicate which lead should go in which slot and therefore to which plug. I'll double check tomorrow and get back to you. TG

    Yep, I'm booked, but I can cancel for free upto 24hrs before. E135 for my single, a double/twin would be E264 for 3 nights B&B. I am now thinking of joining the camping throng. It is a very nice campsite for my favourite type of camping; beer, good company and huge, huge campfires. I'll let the weather forcast decide nearer the time. TG

    If the car is stationary the manifold still heats up due to heat soak but when it's moving I did find that the temperature droped noticably, from instant ouch, reflex pull away to bareble to touch. My 1992, 160K miler came in at 184bhp in November with a K&N panel, decat and the gasket. Unfortunatly I forgot to check if the Powerstations blower managed to cool the manifold and I don't have a before number. But all things considered I'm happy with the figure. Something must have worked ;-) TG

Do not even ask your insurer, the answer will be no for sure and it will help raise the 'Rings 'presence'. By law it's a public road during tourist driving so your insurer can't get out of any 3rd party claims.     CV joints? My old Rover used to do that around the company car park. Then one day it shattered completely and destroyed the half shaft. TG
