    There's a Tescos just off jucntion 10 and the tunnel is J11 I suggest the tunnelers join me and the floaters carry on to Dover.

    well personally I reckon the only stops this side will be Thurrock and Maidstone I'm planning on stopping just before the tunnel junction for petrol.

    Good news mate. I'll add you to the VAG-COM helpers list. You should be able to get ABS faults out of an OBD1 as well

    I bloody hate this working lark. All of last year i'd be done and dusted now and rearing to go. Only just finished the washing for next week. Now, no beer, no food. Tent is still in the loft. No idea about the all important hot water bottle or mulling spices. And I'm counting on Jim and Ben to sort the geebo and bbq as they pass.

    It's a chain so virtually indestructable. But they do snap and the tensioners loose their ability to keep the chain taught allowing it to jump. Mine was shot at 155K and had worked through the noisy stage. 100K is the common distance to start listening out / worrying. You are looking at £500-£700 ( including a change of clutch) at a good independant garage or over £1100 from VW.

    Nothing wrong with that. Well there is as it will bring out all the RWD loons doing donuts in the camp site. It's been colder. Around -7. My sleeping bag was frozen even before I went to bed.
