    too late ive ordered 1 paid for it. they cant make that much difference can they? more noise than anything.

    thx peeps i just got home and recorded the noise on my phone but it sounds 10 times worse infact you could mistake it for a tractor

    any guesses why i can hear the crank then.

    hmm didnt look but normally it does when it did it i didnt think to look just thought wtf sounded verry loud for 2-3 secs i think its time to sell and go back to a mk2 i think.

    one other thing is the aux water pump supposed to run after the engine is switched off because mine runs for quite a while.

    right the noise doesent worsen when the steering is turned just as soon as you start it you hear the noise then it wears off as for the crank noise this is the first time i heard it why would it do it.?

    would the oil in it cause noise at startup i recently topped it up with castrol gtx magnetech it was on the minimum line on the dipstick.

    i havent opend the bonnet when it does this but its coming from the engine bay also a new noise today sounded like the crank at startup verry noisy for a few seconds are these engines made of chocolate

    like a straining noise cant really explain too well but will try it only lasts 10 seconds or so but just wondering what it is try to imagine a belt too tight or water being pushed through a small hose too fast sorry cant really think of a better explanation.

    hmmm got it welded i just used the old plastic clip but the pedal seems sticky when depressed maby its me but im sure it didnt feel like that b4.

    whats causing it to happen is it normal to make a bit of sound when cold?

    i removed it but why do i need to replace the white clip it should slide back in the hole i didnt break it when removing it.

    how do i remove the clutch pedal i need to replace it how hard is it to do.

    i looked for mine but cant find it do i have to remove anything to get to it or if someone could get me a photo of it cheers.

    i find i have to give it a bit of throttle on startup sometimes any ideas.

    right im being niaeve now but how does torque help the 0- 60 and top end surley u need the extra horses so how does it all work then

    its ok i found a price from gsf 218 are they the same as vw ones.
