    Yes it's normal, it's telling you the car is due (or over due) for Inspection Service 2.

    Didn't belive him at first, thought he might be pulling a fast one. But now he's got me thinking the worst. Just need someone I can trust to tell me whether the guys 5 min diagnosis is true or not.

    damn :@ , sh1t !ill , f#ck %-6 , bollox , what a blunt ~ . Just as I had big plan for mods, this goes and happens. In need of a decent 'won't rip me off' mechanic to give me an honest opinion on the problem (there must be one out there). Can anyone on here recommend a mechanic in the south west london area? I'm in kingston, willing to travel (not too far tho).

    just had the car recovered back home, the driver (who seems a bit of a w@nker) ONLY listened to the engine while it was running and told me I had a terminal problem. Claimind that the oil pump was shot and that the bottom end had big problems, crankshaft and bearings are worn. Please someone tell me you can't tell all that just from listening to the engine..........

    Had a miss fire about a month ago, VW checked it out and it turned out to be No. 5 HT lead. This morning on the way to work, loss of power BIG TIME on the motorway. Sounds like the same problem has happened again. Is it common for HT leads to keep failing? And how much for a new set? Might as well do the lot now....
