    It's a standard 2 button VW key fob, but I think the alarm was upgraded after. It's VSL system. You can still deactivate the sensors by pressing the button while the ignition is switched to "on". Turn ignition off then arm the alarm as normal. So does anyone know how to hook up the sunroof?

    Just been playing around with the closure system and discovered a switch on the radio key fob. In position 1 You get full closure with no sunroof, and on unlock the rear windows stay up. In position 2 You get full closure with no sunroof, and on unlock the rear windows open half way. So it must of been programmed to open the windows Just wish I could close the sunroof aswell

    Does anyone have one of these lower set temperature thermostats installed on their VR? I'm looking at buying one with a new fan switch which is also set to the lower temp. If you do, does it improve your engine cooling?

    Great found it, mines defo ODB2. What about on ODB1 cars?

    I've just aquired my first VR which I'm v. happy with at the mo. My only problem at the moment is that the full closure alarm doesn't close the sunroof. Is there anyway I could hook this up to close? Also when I deactivate the alarm the rear windows open half way. Is this normal or has someone set this to happen on purpose? ~

    Quick question: Where do you find the ODB port for both types (i.e. ODB1 and ODB2)?

    Just got my new vr and it will be a daily drive. Probably do 800+ miles a week (mon-fri), plus 10-20 at the weekend. Roughly getting 28mpg at the mo. That will go down if any boy (or girl) racers start giving it

    Hi, who's using VAG-COM on there car? I'm interested in how much your setup cost you in total. From what I understand this is what you need (feel free to correct me): Laptop with windows98 onwards Vag-Com Software Software licence Adapter cable thingy %-6 I can source a laptop and download the software from vag-com.co.uk. But the cost of the licence and cable thingy !sad seems bloody expensive. What have you guys done to keep cost down? !dodge
