would anyone be able to post a picture of exactly where the ISV is so I can take a look at mine, my idle is off at the moment

Although other parts of my car have broken I had always thought the engine to be strong until the other day. I hadn't driven my car for about 5 days and when I did it wouldn't idle properly. It still drives fine but when the revs start to drop below 2000 it starts to judder. I was just about to sell my car and this is going to be a big problem, does anyone have any ideas? Could it be the inlet manifold as one person advised?

cheers, yeah I will have a look into it, I have to sort out my clifford alarm now, its a nightmare, some how its managed to reset itself and won't lock the doors

Bought my new radiator today and fitted it myself, this is probably nothing to most of you but its the first time I have done something worthwhile on a car, saved myself a bit of £££ too

once you have got to it, how easy is it to actually remove and replace the radiator, is there anything I need to watch out for?
-
ingham, did you have yours done at a local or national radiator place?

now that my starting problems are sorted (new battery was all it needed ) I need to sort the radiator out. I was quoted

thanks, I will try to check the battery tomorrow, the car did have a sub and an amp in which may have killed the battery so that it does not hold its charge, I will look into these things. Just out of interest, where is the coil pack?

I have had my vr since August and up until the start of November it has been starting fine. Since then however i have had to boost/jump it everyday, I have charged the battery (which is only 10 months old) on numerous occasions and yet it still seems to be drained the next day. Is the problem likely to be the battery or alternator? The batttery has a small hole which changes colour when it needs charging or replacing, it is however saying that there is no problem as it is showing green as opposed to white (white = needing replacement) If anyone could give me any help it would be great, thanks,

me and my car are going through some annoyances, they are however fairly small problems which seem to cause maximum annoyance. For example, the boot catch is broken, the drivers seat doesn't recline and the engine has a small leak, needless to say I have thrown a few expletives at it

first car was my mums 1.8i volvo 440, my first own car was at 18 and was an xr2, absolutely perfect condition for the year © cost me

I have always wanted a skyline, perhaps a nur spec r34 gtr or an s tune, and rs4 would be very nice, you'd scare a lot of uneducated people with that Realistically my next car is probably going to be an evo 4

thanks a lot, I will go and pick one up, anyone have ideas on the seat?

My boot catch has been playing up, it appears that a spring on the left of it is not pushing the fastening piece over and so the boot will not close. Has anyone had this problem and is it hard to fix, I would go and buy one from a scrap yard but was worried about refitting the central locking. My next problem is that on my drivers seat the wire that lets the seat come forward has snapped on one side, this meaning that I have to reach down and pull the catch up to let people in the back. I can't see an easy way of replacing the wire as obviously it runs under the leather somewhere, any help wo

as soon as you get into a car you are putting yourself and other road users at risk, no matter what speeds you are doing. I find it surprising that people who appear to have chargers and mod parts fitted to their cars are slating the guy so much, surely you tearing up up to 40 mph in however few seconds it takes and not being able to stop for a child who runs out is just as bad as sitting at 145 on a motorway where there are going to be perhaps no people except other drivers. Whichever way you look at it if you break the law your going to get in trouble though

i am starting to think that the coolant is leaking from the car somewhere, two small wet patches occasionally left at front bumper after driving and coolant bottle seems to drop quickly, however engine temp seems to maintain itself around 80, could this be an expensive problem?

thank you

just wondering what will be the best engine coolant to mix with water and where to get it, thanks in advance
