    Trying to source donar car but struggling (Anyone got one local to or in Kent?), anyway, got a few questions regarding what and why, so here goes: 1. I've got a 91 8v gti at mo, am i right in thinking that its just plug and play? 2. Does it matter what type of vr i put in? ie odb1, odb2, corrado, vento? 3.Also seen loads of galaxy 2.8's about, i know they are basically the same engine but assume these would be a lot more hastle to use. thanks in advance Hoppa

    had a bit of a splutter prob with mine at low revs, think it was just the induction kit though...

    He sounds like a one off, you'd be lucky to even get a trader to fix it nowadays! Looks very nice, sounds like the right changes have been made.

    Just out of interest whats the performance difference? Big increase on bhp and torque?

    I'm near Maidstone, just spent best part of £900 with a 'Have a go" ~ and my car don't even run now, i'll get in contact with them. Thanks for your advice 8)

    Need a bit of help please people %-6 Went to collect my car from a garage last night after the head was replaced, and found the mechanic still working but the car not. ( No compression in 3 cyclinders ~ What actually happened was that he could not source a head and i could so had it delivered to him, he said looked fine so got on with the job, now he is saying the head must of been no good. What he also mentioned was the fact it was slightly different than the old one (after he had put it on!!!) ( it has a whole on the passenger side which you can see chain through and some of the parts a

    Just had the garage replacing my head gasket call, to let me know that the head is heavily pitted and that they were not 100% sure skimming it would solve the problem, now they have'nt had there engineering guy look at it yet, but the guy i spoke to said VR6 heads don't look like there is a lot of tolerance in skimming the due to the fact they have no recess for the valves/piston? (at least i think thats what he said). As you can tell i'm no mechanic, can someone shed some light on the process? Is there much adjustment on them? recon head a better option? ( Thanks in advance

    very nice, i actually don't mind the heat sheald...although i imagine people following you at night may get the hump with headlights reflecting! 8)

    If you want an idea of the colour, i've got a dusty mauve vr with the 'mulberry leather' and they are a pefect match. would'nt put it in a black car though...just my opinion...I'd go cream with black...would look the nuts!
