Ayup everyone, ok i dont get on this forum much due to work and spending time with my daughter etc, but dont slate me please'' i have still got my baby (s/c vr6). I was going to get a r32 but when i test drove it as nice as they are it did not do it for me sorry. The car i have bought is a alfa 147 gta with imola leather it is well...... what can i say i am in love with the noise and power,IMHO it is better than a r32 faster and so panache and fully loaded. I only like v6 power or a six cylinder i am not keen on the turbo thing it is just not me, put the gta in 6th gear it is effortless 30 40

I hope this helps, the belts which came of my zr1 s/c are 6 ribs each ,i had 2 running side by side. I measured the belts and gave them the number on the belts which are 190j pj483 micro v, the new one they sent me is multiribbed 12j463. They dont slip either, total amount 18.80p. I decided to put a single belt back on from them been great. You dont need to send it to them they know there stuff v belts are used for loads of things ,i measured mine while it was on the car, when i recieved the belt i put it on easy they will make you one dont be spending silly money for a s/c belt from who ev

If you need belts for your s/c contact. marksman industrial ltd 6 rowhill avenue aldershot hampshire gu11 3lu tel 01252 345455. I replaced my 2 belts with a single belt, good quality aswell.under 20 quid to your door.

I've seen a v plate e36 m3 cab. e46 was the change over.good cars but they tend to have alot of owners.

It is 1ft.lbs =1.356nm You divide your nm figure by the 1.356 figure which gives your lbs/ft makes mine 214.74 .my bhp is about right but the torque is normally 230lbs ft.

There as got to be something wrong with the running of your car to struggle with hot hatches,but they could be modified? My schrick has made my car alot quicker through the gears and off the mark aswell, but the map may have helped alot because my car has never had a remap until now. shame to leave a schrick in your shed.

Well i collected my car yesterday from stealth,i must say feels so much smoother and more torque all the way through the revs,i now have 220 lbs at around 3800rpm before i had around 200lbs,the torque at 5368rpm is 232.2lbs. I know it do's not seem much because before i had the schrick i was getting 229.6lbs at 5195rpm the power has dropped from 260.5bhp to 254.4bhp at 6116rpm. My 260.5bhp was from r/r day last year in october but i went on the r/r with the engine hot from my drive up to stealth. Iv'e got the zr1 had no problems with it. If anyone is looking to replace there s/c belts,i replaced my 2 belts with a single multiribbed one-12j463,total cost 18.80 to my door in 2 days. My 2 belts never slipped but were just worn out,the single one has been ok aswell since i put it on. They do ceramic bearings aswell. I have a carrera kracken in blue, front disc brakes, shimano gears, x rims 24 speed.had it for 7 yrs 2 punctures been to work and back many times on this bike.The new carrera's look like a good bike. fitting s/c next yr.And it is best to stay of the road i always use cycle paths and the pavement so i can run pedestrians over , what ever you do dont go on the road to dangerous you get hurt that way,one morning not long back in July i was in my truck going down a single carriage way and watched a guy get it from behind on his bike by a 44 tonne truck about 45 mph he was not expecting it .infact

On the drivers side where you have your s/c , i have a piece of samco piping joining on to s/c then a piece of made up piping which goe's through a hole which goes down below front bumper,your filter will then sit on top of your splash guard.My filter is a jr cone one,i have to take my filter out from under the car behind splash guard to clean it, like mk3anni said you will not have room in the engine bay.

use the gunk degreasant what binliner is showing,iv'e used this on a previous cars engine bay gets everything clean,good stuff.

Thanks for the replies . It is most likely to be my mounts then , one of the rear engine mounts needed tightening up not long back, I've got a competition front engine mount but not done the others yet,i'm going to use the fast road ones on them 'vibratechnics'.
