glad to hear you have it running i assume that's healthy 267bhp . I am pondering over what car to get next,but the mk3 golf will start to burn holes in most peoples pockets as the miles get higher,thats whats starting to worry me mine is almost 10years old, i am really starting to like the mk5 gti but i can not make my mind up, mk4 r32 is still fetching a lot of money. good look with finishing your ride but being s/c is great fun and takes some beating.

jay glad your vr is running right .I think though that these z s/c spool up pretty quick imo.I also run standard injecters. dubsingh. I have always run my maf between s/c and the throttle body never been a problem.

Would anyone be able to shed some light on my problem. About 2 weeks ago i noticed a slight vibration on my accelerator pedal when pulling away,tonight it did the same thing but alot worse with a noise, the pedal was vibrating under my foot for about 5 seconds, it only happens now and again. Thanks.

Love mine too, been a great car actually my best and most reliable car yet,but ive had it since 2000 and s/charged since 2001 and pissed a lot of drivers off in a lot more expensive cars even worse because it is debadged.They are quite light compared to a lot of performance cars nowadays power to weight is always a goodun,but still looking forward to mk4 r32 ownership i've been looking for cars the same amount of money m3 e46, s4 etc m3 is another 400 a year insurance r32 130. I can always s/c at a later date regal are working on a stage 4 s/c conversion now with silly bhp.

I do my oil change every 6,000 miles to in my zr1.Bit bad but not changed my belts for 27,000 miles it still looks ok but got a single belt ready to go on i,ll do it weekend.Oil i use mobil 1. servicing is 20,000 km oil change. 30,000km belts to be changed.

I,ve got just the suitcase box and stainless backbox, sounds ok but i,ve just had made for 180 pounds stainless piping which replaces the middle box and suitcase box straight through.I removed it because my car lost power but i should have reset my ecu ,But i must say the noise my car made was lovel'y ,I also have a decat pipe fitted.

I've got a Zr1 also i have a Z-Engineering chip on aswell,my engine is totally stock,i have a decat pipe and i still have the standard exhaust on with stainless steel back box. The charger has it's own oil reservoir i run it on Mobil 1. Some people have mentioned in the past about belt slippage from the Zr1 but i have had no problems at all,the charger runs on 2 belts,but I've managed to find a place down south that sells single ones for the pulley which i have just purchased,they also do the ceramic bearings for the charger aswell. 260 bhp aint bad,it keeps my brothers wife's mapped vxr at ba

I,m going for the mk4 r32, got a insurance quote 130 pounds a year more than my vr6 well chuffed. But they are still fetching 16'000 plus at dealers which is big money for a mk4 but you do get alot of car, what colour you having phm.

I,ve got a z engineering s/c bought from new done 33,000 miles, had no problems.I change the oil in my s/c every 6,000 miles and it as not caused my engine any problems either .It is also not to bad on fuel with all my mixed driving my computer is reading 27mpg which is not to bad for a 260 bhp motor.

It is a higher octane 99 instead of 98 and a better formulation so shell say. I use it all the time anyway, I,ve got plenty of plus points. -
Yes the same thing happened to me, there is a metal plate at the top of the clutch pedal, which breaks on the little spots of weld so the clutch cable pushes the little piece of metal that sits at the top of the pedal.I drove my car back home for about 10 miles clutchless, it is a pain but get the plate welded back on the pedal, you need to take the clutch pedal off the white bit of plastic it's what the clutch cable sits in, there is a piston type spring also there is a surclip which holds the pedal on, you may have to get a new one as i broke mine taking it off so be carefull it's a b%%^$#d

ayup everyone' most of you know my vr is s/c i run a standard manifold with raceland decat pipe i also had on my car standard middle box and standard suitcase box then my stainless backbox'' 2 days ago i replaced the middle and suitcase boxes with straight through stainless steel pipe work my vr now has lost loads of power and is popping, i can try to retrieve my boxes if the man still as them or buy new ones as they are as old as the car 1997'' do you need a certain amount of back pressure as it ran great before i thought it may be better or does it need a remap. sorry so long winded.

i remember it quentin wilson was doing the driving it was in some kind of empty warehouse or airplane anger then he went for a spin to around 125mph . aiden like the clip of the corrado they did one of the corrado in the 90's as well about it being a future classic.

it could have been the B10 3.3 ALPINA ,or the 3.2 which there is not many around. or B10 V8 but would have been badged this way some say B10 V8S. all switchtronic gearboxes V8'S are fast cars. i was actually going to buy the 3 series sport e46 one which as the 3.3 engine in it, either that or r32. they are done buy bmw sytners we have a garage in nottm they sell quite a few ALPINAS very nice. the 5 series is a heavy car the V8 is the one to look out for.the 3.3 is ideal in the e46 which makes it a fast car i would prefer the ALPINA over an m3 for rarity .video.google.com/videoplay?docid=651197

i passed my bro in the evo in 3'rd gear onwards' date=' his engine is stock he said the cat is restricting the revs at top end mine is s/c.thanks for comments.
