mine is still doin a spluttering/misfire type thing after the car has warmed up for 30mins or so, still havent managed to sort it...its fine when cold. Happened badly tonite as I was driving alot today and id swear there was a 'pop' from the engine kinda like a pop form you exhaust only at the other end!

I was emailed by the previous keeper of my car over in London yesterday who tells me the DVLA over there has sent him a fine for unpaid taxed back dated to 1/12/05. I however purchased the vehicle before then and applied to register the car and tax it in Northern Ireland when the previous tax had expired on 1/12/2005. I gave the DVLA a call to explain this and the girl claimed the previous owner had not informed then of the sale, I then told her that this wasnt true as he had handed the V5 to the DVLA and they had posted the thing to me!! do they have a habbit of posting of V5's to random str

Just got a JOM front grille now I need the paint, halfrauds didnt have "black magic pearl" just a few other VW blacks, is there anywhere else would stock this or can it be bought from VW?

mine just failed this morn on excessive movement..the steering wheel actually comes forward a bit if you pull it towards you and a bit of a rattle if you turn the wheel quickly, I dont notice and slackness though when actually steering. Ideas?

I will be replacing the ABS pump very soon with a good 2nd hand one I found for a good price. If you are for changing it yourself perhaps this will help http://www.houseofthud.com/cartech/abspump/ABSProcedure.html

Im thinking of getting 8x17" Schmidt Vn-Line (1 piece) alloys 5x100, et35 just wondering if all these values seem ok for the vr6 as i dont know what most of the numbers mean also what size tires would be appropriate? condsidering highsport coilovers too will there be problems? cheers.

i have the second fault (althou without intermittant) and my ABS light is on...new ABS pump goin in soon.. found a good condition one cheap as a new one was 900 quid.

im gettin my screen molded in there too (just infront of gear stick) i was thinkin perhaps its too low, but i dont see anywhere better suited. as for GPS/satnav I use one of these haicom thingies and destonator software embedded into Centrafuse

i have a carpc and touchscreen in my last car..yet to transfer it to the VR6. The case is a casetronic travla C134 with an EPIA M10000 motherboard with 1GHZ cpu. The screen was a manual fold out touchscreen from a DIN slot from http://www.digitalww.com/ all connected to an ignition controller which waited x amount of time before sending a shut down signal to the pc (incase you stall the car) and detected low battery etc. the frontend software used was Centrafuse which looks really sweet and works well...you can get a phone addon for it used with a bluetooth adapter you TXT messages can appear
