  1. if low miles/km they must have been serviced aleast ones a year or i would walk away(you can´t wait 15tkm when it only does 5tkm a year) my other mate bought a seat (lupo size) from 1999 with 39tkm on the clock last been serviced in jan 2008 at 31tkm and 6years over due for new cambelt.
  2. bought my 95 syncro in 2005 with 160tkm on the clock sold 2 years later with 200tkm(had brain melt down and got a engine rebuild)gearbox and and syncro driven train all fine newer been touched other the me changing the olie at 160tkm,my mate has a syncro variant that has done 210tkm has a 5 gear noise other then that fine showed 203ps on the rollers in august.have another mate that had a 97 model that had done 53tkm when he bought it(the automatic gear was new when he bought it)he changede the abs block and alot of other nasty expensive stuff.
  3. needs abit more than a remap for that try getting golf cams iam no sure that you need the head from the golf,but you can get 174/180 when converting to golf spec
  4. we have talked about it before kev i have a friend yhat had a 97 obd 2 vr6 and his was 72mm
  5. obd1 tb´s are both 64,can be bored out to i think 66 obd2 is 72,not smaller then obd 1.

  8. the faults in the dash are they from chipping´??? and the 2 wires hanging to the left off the steering wheel??

  10. don´t have the date yet but think it will be like this year in sept. at padborg park raceway alot vr6 turbos but only 2 compressor golf 3 vr6 one with 250 and one with around 300.both rotrex
  11. if you have an idea the go for it,don´t let others scary you into thinking it´s not a good idea. they way i se it kev did not like the look/sound off a cone,and wanted it abit oe. we can´t all agre all the time:-d like his post with the flywheel,i have never had the problem he is having with it,ill stil have my opinien but will lisen,and have it back in my ,mind if i do get a problem in the future.
  12. super write up(to me old news as iam old like you and hat those wrap noises) my mate with sls engine tried it on the rolling road 3-5 brake less with cone comepared to corrado box with k&n,the corrado box is a good upgrade on the golf.

  14. no the syncro diff in the rallye golf is diffrent 50/50 split fix, but the std. vr6 is 80/20 varibel nothing to do with haldex.
  15. on my mates sls 3.0 vr6 we didn´t that it was running lean until we came for final adjustment at sls,we changede for just to be safe the lambda and there was a new sensor in the water,plus put a 400cell kat but it was stil just puting out around 207hp,they found out that the maf was dead they did try to clean it first but didn´t help,a new used one in and it now gives 219hp still abit short but we think that maybe a corrado airbox and a diffrent cat mit get the last hp out,maybe new injectors too.but the new used maf made a huge diff.
