Yup, that's the problem I've read, very little tread to pull the water away...

The 888's I've read are lethal in the wet - pick carefully

I'm going to have to drop out of this one. Not happy about it but lack of time and money mean I'm having to fix the house rather than racing round the nurburgring Next year for definate though . Anybody want to buy a ferry ticket lol
-
Probably to sell it as it costs me near 15 quid a day in fuel

it's snowing! http://www.nuerburgring.de/fileadmin/webcam/webcam.jpg

Exact pricing is being confirmed, depending on numbers we can get - they are very light so postage is pretty cheap considering they are coming over the pond Think they are about 25 quid, well worth it

Wanted to let you know about a great mod I did to the car over the xmas break - I installed the dieselgeek nylong shifter bushings. "These upgraded custom bushings replace the spongy black rubber bushing that is currently installed in the end of your stock front/back cable end. This mod was designed to make your A3 GTI/Jetta GLX or TDI and Passat shifter feel like the highly sought after MkIV Sigma shifter!" Thanks to Antera309 for this guide - made it alot easier than doing it "blind" Couple of extra pics to make it even clearer: To rewind the piston in the caliper, remove the disc, bolt the carrier & caliper back onto the hub then use the tool [bought from halfords] to wind the piston back in - I had to use the windback tool to apply some pressure to wind the piston back in - just winding it didnt seem to do the job... Also, couple of pics to show how the ABS ring comes off the back of the disc

MAF? -
I've used them in the past - I've got two thirds of a bottle spare I think if you want it. I would always recommend that you use plastic primer and matt black paint to be honest
-
Get them off a scrappy car or any of the people on here breaking a car

Hope this helps (http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i77/SiGainey/Golf/calipers.jpg) From memory, there's a 7mm allen key slider instead of the upper 13mm bolts on the 280 calipers

Sorry, must study previous posts before posting lol!!!!!

Ok, so I've been keeping an eye on this and when the gague is in the red, i'm filling to the brim with 35 litres (isn't the tank 55 litres?) Does that point to the sender unit or the pod itself?
