  1. I've just placed an order with vw spares and I'm not impressed. Order placed 04/10/2007, 6 quid delivery and it wasn't dispatched till 11/10/2007, with no update in the mean time... Not impressed and wont be shopping there again!

  5. No credit on my behalf on that part number, I found it on here There's a thread on the corrado forum about replacing the thermostat housing - the thread is located http://the-corrado.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=55166. I've heard that you need to remove the front end for better access as a couple of the bolts are hidden but it can be done if you read up enough & know their location etc. This forum's ace
  6. Mine's a regular variety but got a/c :S

  9. Hiya - welcome Nice car - way too good to be scrapped! The split pipe is the PCV breather system - it's quite expensive from ford and they crop up on ebay alot but there's a ford replacement part which is cheaper - have a search round, i THINK it's part number 7364573 and is about 25 quid As for the head gasket, it looks like it could be, but clean it off with a rag and see if it reappears The leak looks to be just dried coolant - put a jubilee hose clip on it and it should fix the problem - very cheap to do Those perished cables are just wrap for the wires - get some loom tape off ebay if
  10. There's one on ebay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220158177467 but it's a bit over priced IMHO, mind you, 20 quid dont get you a lot now days does it lol
  11. Not being a pain fella I bought a new steering wheel off a lad on ebay and just swapped it over - very straight forward From memory, it's not blue - there's two wires going into it and it's small, that's about all I remember - sorry!

  13. yeah, that's the cover for it - it's just a long piece of wire that's wound in a coil - VW sell them at about 80 - 90 quid, but from speaking to them, it's a really common part and is fitted to the following lupo tdi 99-06 passat 92-97 polo 95-02 vento 92-98
  14. Here's a quick how-to... 1. Disconnect the battery negative 2. Undo the two 5mm allen bolts on the back of the steering wheel 3. Carefully remove the airbag unit from the wheel 4. Undo the yellow wiring connector from the back of the airbag (dont pull on the connector as it'll come apart - lever it from underneath witha small screwdriver 5. Undo the steering wheel with a 24mm socket 6. Remove the steering column cowling and undo the slip ring wiring connector there 7. Reassemble torquing the wheel to 37 ft/lb (according to Haynes) You then need to clear the fault using VAGCOM or similar...
  15. *FINALLY* got round to doing this - and it took about 30 minutes MAX. Will post a guide in a sec but it's very very easy!
  16. What he said - I'd get a v6 4mo and supercharge it

  18. Give it another drive and check if it does it again. It could be an airlock that has been released
