Hi. Answer on question 1, I guess is your dead lambda. When the lambda is dead, the ECU is running in a emergency operation just to get the car going. The mixture off air and fuel is a mess. Question 2, where you take your vacum feed from? I guess its from the fuel pressure regulator. And if you have a OBD2 engine, you MUST use an obd1 FPR. 4 Bar. The obd 2 is only 3, and that is not keeping up. I have the maf after the charger, with now dv and it runs absolutely awesome. No troubles at all. But im curious, how I can fit an DV when the MAF is after the charger..? Here is some pics from my set

Thanx -
Always used Supersprint on my last two VR6s. This time I bought Remus, and I cant say there are any diffrence. Except that I got the Remus used from a wrecked car, and got a god price. One off the things I really like, is NOT to have to much noise when I drive normal. "To old for that :-p " But with full throotle, the car screams like a beast. (6) Thank you Z-Engineering

Ok, im gonna change sparkplugs now, and I have been using NGK BPR5EKU for about 5 years now. But with the Z-Engineering ZR2 supercharger, im not sure what to use. I saw they had a Platinum model called NGK BPR5EKU-P wich where expensive. Anyone have any idea? I get good prices on NGK,thats why ive been using them, and Vortex users say they are the best for NA engine`s.

The green Golf is from Sweden, and have fitted a Rotrex Supercharger. The tech info of the engine can you see at the end off the movie. The car is working very well. Because off the Peloquin diff, its very drivable too:) My car: The pics have been taken in Oslo, Norway. Did not plan to take pics, so the car is not washed or anything Well, the car has Z-Engineering ZR2 Supercharger with Z chip. Runs PERFECT Peloquin diff,Sachs Racing clutch.Remus exhaust with Raceland header. Eibach anti roll bars, Koni and RSD springs under the car. 7.5x17" Porsche cup 2 wheels with Toyo TR1 tires. 205/40-1 -

Alot off Wortex user are saying that the DSR 256 cams are the way to go if you have a supercharger. They are abit expencive, but they give up to 18 whp. So they work. http://www.dynospotracing.com/vwdyno.htm Im thinking off getting a set this summer.

I have 7.5x17" Cup 2 on mine, and they are 5x130 ET52. I have 20mm adapters from Kercher so the ET is now 32. AND the adapters make 5x100 to be 5x130. Running on 205/40-17" and 50mm lowering springs. No problems. -
62761 miles, or 101000 kilometers. Full chain job at 52800 miles. Runs very nice right now.

I know a guy running a Rotrex in Sweden used to have my kit before me. He ran 315cc on it. Henrik was his name.

Spark plugs and supercharger.
delete-me replied to delete-me's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
Strange thing is that both my OBD1 cars have been running much warmer than my OBD2 that I have now. The oil temp is 78-82 C on normal driving. Water is always 90 C. Car runs fine, but its so much snow right now, so its not any reason to even start up the car. Totaly chaos ~ -
I have been driven 75000 miles with VR6`s. Only sparkplugs Ive been using are NGK BKR5EKU. And they have always been great to have in the engine. But now I have a Z-Engineering ZR2 blower, and im wondering if the BKR5EKU is still up to the job? I get REALLY good deal`s on NGK plugs. Thats the reason why I have always used it. My supplier could get me these as well: NGK platinaplug BKR5EKUP. Somewhere in the back off my head I have been reading about NOT to put platina on VR6`s... Was it VF-Engineering whos said that? Or EIP? Cant remember. Anyone have suggestions? About the price on the produc

Ok last night "02.30am" I got the MAF located after the charger, and start the car up! I was walking around it 3 times to check everything and YES, it was idling as it should. And it was not idling rich. The only "issue" I have, is that I can hear the airfilter making the same noise as a military rifle when I touch the trottle and the engine is cold. Its on low rpm`s and it feels like the respons "hasitates" abit...

We have almost 70 cm with snow here in Oslo right now,and I dont have any place indoors for the car right now. And im working nightshifts. So im gonna relocate the MAF when I have some time off. Just talked to a guy from the VwAudi-club of Norway, and we agreed to hook the car up with wideband lambda. So I hope we will figure it out. But when Im thinking off having the MAF after the charger, I just cant understand that its gonna work any better Its still gonna be alot off air going through the MAF..
-
I cant wait to get this up and running like it should:) Thank you very much so far
-
Thank you. So there is the reason why it runs so rich.. But with the MAF after the charger, I dont need a BOV?
-
Thank you for a quick answer. Im gonna set the MAF after the charger tonight. And we will see what happens. The power is soooo smooth Im really happy. http://www.vwaudi-club.no/?s=CarProfile&CarID=2283

Just got the kit installed. Its an 96 Golf VR6 Colour Concept. Ive got a Z-engineering chip. The engine is completely stock. Can I use a obd1/Corrado VR6 4 bar/57psi fuel regulator? And the MAF... Before or after the charger? Right now I drive with the MAF before the charger, and with VAG 4 bar fuel regulator. The car does NOT run smooth on lower RPM`S, and I have black/brown smoke coming out of the exaust when idling... Getting pretty tired off all the mistakes and all the problems Ive had since the installation off the kit. Can anyone help me out? !shy

Sachs pressure plate questions...
delete-me replied to delete-me's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
Thanx for the answer. I need to change gearbox anyway, cause Ive just got a rebuild 02A with Peloquin. So I can actually use my stock pressure plate and just but on a new sport disc? -
I have just bought a Sachs Racing pressure plate. Can I use a stock Sachs clutch disk on it? Or do I NEED to use a Sachs disk at all? I need a everyday day use disk.. Live in Oslo, and the traffic sucks Have a Z-Engineering ZR2 kit, and Peloquin. Ive been talking to Sachs in Oslo, and they where not sure if the normal disk fitted. The Racing disk costs 210 pounds..... !heart hehe

The Schrick 268 does work, but only at high RPMS. The Cat 263 cams should work very good the hole rpm register. Ive had Kent 264 cams, and they worked ok. If you really wanna have fun, buy the Kinetic Turbo set up. Or a used Supercharger kit. http://www.kineticmotorsport.com/catalog/turbo-kits-mkiii-golfjetta-turbo-kitsb-c-99_183.html http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1542783

Thank you guys.. Why not use the chip that z-eng... is selling? Costs around 100 pounds, and should work? Before cams, im gonna have a new clutch and new engine mounts fitted.
