no mate i live in stourbridge, i seen a couple of VR's but none with the owners club sticker on, mind you mine hasnt got it on either because the one i was sent seemed to be missing a few letters.

Well all i know is i was driving "enthusiastically" with a Mazda Rx8, which was not getting away, in fact if i still wasnt so knew to the VR i woulda dusted him, but we had a RS following us and he wasnt even trying. Must say i wouldnt mind one, but if its that or a R32 i.e. 2.0 or 3.2 V6 its no competiton, i would have the VW any day, plus if you wanted to go evil&loud (which the R32 isnt built to be) i bet a few choice mods would humble any focus RS.

Hi just had renwal come though from elephant and it £800 than Admiral! ( Spoke to the lady and told them i werent going with them (obviously) and she said it may be because elephant have had more claims off this type of car hence the risk has gone up. Just a general query as summit dont seem right with the old suspension.... Driving the VR i noticed that the rear suspension is a bit "bouncy" and when going over uneven roads the back end seems to step out because there is so much bounce. I dont feel confident that if i needed to brake hard on a bend on an uneven road that it wouldnt spin... Just wondering if the suspension is bouncy anyway or do i need it checked out?

VR6Pete said.... Did you check the oil when you bought the car? Yeah was half way between minimum and full. jaysVR6 said... Oil level light is there for a reason fella. No light came on..... i will check this out see if its broken. Yeah its running a lot better now, sounds a lot better too, shall see how it goes and make sure i watch the oil usage weekly! Cheers

Had my car 3 weeks and put about 1000 miles on it. Recently there was a funny noise at about 1800rpm and a little rattle. I though it may have been timing chains and never thought to check the oil.........the oil level was halfway between nil and minimum!!!!!11 Rang nearest garage and they shut rang another and they shut rang vw specialist in dudley and they open, hooray!!! got down there as slow and hopefully as unstressful on the engine as possible and put in for a oil and filter change

yeah i agree with antera309 its one thing to issue threats, anyone can do that, but its another to vandalise your VR6....... ~ ~

Howdy there just noticed a funny noise at about 1800rpm sort of a high pitch knocking sound, i have been on vw vortex and listened to the sound file http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1127339 and it sound kinda the same? Uh oh! How much have all you guys spent on getting this done? It it cheaper sourcing parts from germanautoparts.com and such like or actually getting it done all by a garage?
