next friday i will have a 2.9 engine from a corrado now i am running a 2.8 engine in my MK2 i am thinking several mods to do to the 2.9 before put it in my car 1/porting the head 2/266 cams 3/chip 4/6-2-1 exh-manifold + 2.5' de-cat exhaust(already have it in my 2.8) 5/LIGHTWEIGHT FLYWHEEL 6/induction my goal is 220 ps is it possible with the above mods to achive 220ps? ? thanks!

i had NGK R code:BKR5EKU and now i have BOSCH FGR8KQE much better with the Bosch! but i have the vr running only 90 days :$ so i have not try enything else yet :$

i had the same problem with the Engine speed sensor i've got a new one now ,the part number is 191-919-149-D its on the gearbox, mine its LHD so i dont know if its at the same possition with the RHD i will take o pic tomorow and i will post it!

its not the speed sensor ! the speedo works fine i think is the engine crank sensor.... tomorow i will let u know for sure what it is! i have a 80 thermostat and at 90 the fan kicks! and my oil 92 -100 (with hard driving) i had no problem till last friday... :S thanks for your replies!

the VAG-COM shows that the "speed sensor" does not work at all......... i will fix it at Monday i hope that this cause the problem by the way the fueling is ok!

two days ago i put new distributor cap + rotor arm in my OBD1 VR6 AAA after that , i have o litle loss of power and when i step on it the oil temp goes 110-112 (once went 114! *-) the engine gets realy hot! i can feel the heat at my gear knob does enyone know what is it? ? its o golf 2 conversion and i have the 16v fuel pump (from my KR 1800 16v) is it runnig lean? ? ? because of the 16v fuel pump? ? ? i have just finished my conversion 5 weeks ago so i am new with vr's :$ thanks

i had the same problem and it was the cap!

promblem solved! faulty fan thermoswich it started at 100 and stoped at 90 now my temp is 90 and never goes up and the oil temps is better too thanks for the info and for your replies

so my water temp sould be at 90... i will check the thermostat and the 3 fan stages and i will let know thanks for your replys

i see.... maybe you are right here in Greece the outside temp is 22-25 i will check my thermostat in case somethink is not working properly thanks for the reply

hello i am new here :$ i 've jast finished my golf 2 vr6 conversion my oil temp is at 100-102 at trafic and at 106-108 when i step on it at highways and my water temp 90-100 in trafic is that temps normal? ? its a 2.8 AAA thanks
