sorry mate i been well bizzy!! right, you're gonna need to send me a pic of the wiring & units if thats poss. as i am a bit confused about this cigarette lighter! sounds like its been modified, if so it may be wired wrong as there should be a permanent feed to the sat nav via the yellow wire, it might be going through the ign. separate switch for dvd on dash- no probs - earth as norm, live from dvd to switch, from other side of switch to perm or ign live up to you

loose conection on ignition key

!lol a few, worst case scenario you're gonna be left with loads of holes in your casing, what your aiming for is a small flat piece of metal that has spring to it fitted on the side of the barrel and is set in a recess inside the casing, so when you have drilled the hole the idea is to push down on the piece of metal out of the recess to release the barrel, which also means no damage (other than the casing) so yes you can just slot it back in after with no problemo also i agree that it would be a good idea to try an source a second hander even just to see what your dealing with -

you need a small enough drill to get in directly above the barrel if not you might have to drop the steering rack, you have to remove %-6 the cowling and pop the metal casing off of the key side, you should now be able to se a small gap near the top, now the difficult part, you need to line up by eye the right corner of the gap and measure 12 millimetres going away from you that should be the spot to drill, try to use a small 1/8 bit, drill lightly just enough until the presure gives cos you only want to get through the casing, once this is done you need a small piece of metal (an even smalle -

sounds like you're ultrasonics are knackered, or they've been disconnected as they are prone to false alarming. R.S.ICE

need some help pleeze, i just fitted a brand new coil pack, leads & plugs, i have also cleaned the throttle body, 2 days ago and went for a drive, perfect drive and idle no problems went out today with the missus, after about 10 miles of driving through light london traffic the car lost power, started overfueling (black smoke strong smell of fuel), idle was eratic and lumpy this went on for 5 mins then fine again, on slowing down for a set of lights the car just cut out!! restarted and carried on driving fine, got home this evening (car running sweet all the way) after parking left to idle

HELP!! hi, i have a 97 golf vr ob2 and she is sick, starting at the beginning- first i had exhaust problems (mine was blowing so i ordered a cat-back remus straight through which took 2 weeks to get to me, i still had to drive her with a blowin exhaust) finally got it sorted and in this time she developed a mis-fire so my mate put it on his vag-com which gave me 2 faults -coolant sensor and idle, this didnt explain the mis so i thought the best thing was to change the (yellow coolant sensor) coil-pack, luvly everything was fine UNTIL the middle box (exhaust) came apart, as it was too noisy an
