    well after lasts months turn out i was very disapointed there was gav me and tony we got shown up by club gti big time they had 12 cars i dont want this to fall on its arse so if ya in for the next 1 please pm me thanks brett

    if we havent got a club stand aready danny can ya sort it . and when you going to get a clutch for your mk1 so we can bob it in you could have entered it in show and shine with ya race car at gti fest now that would have been ace seeing them side by side . im not even going to ask about you race engine!

    well there is somthing strange going on there as they only list 1 rear wheel bearing kit for discs or drums on gsf . so could be that the discs have been made wrong . you reall need to measure the inside of the disc with a vernia ( dont think thats how its spelt ) and the out side of the bearing as they are an interferance fit so will be very tight http://www.timken.com/industries/automotive/autoaftermarket/techtips/AutoTechTips_Vol1_Issue3.pdf i have one of these i use being a car tec https://toolstoday.co.uk/shop.php?sec=prod∏=1132

    i take it you are talking about rear discs . you have to tap the the outer part of the bearing into the discs with a drift or a socket as they are a tight fit cant remember if they are different sizes if so the larger on normaly goes to the inside

    straght after the down pipe mate you should have a box /cat also the lambda probe( probe should be just infront of the cat )hope that helps

    yes gav if anybody else wants to meet up before i will be leaving braintree at about 6 to 615 or can meet up at boreham services . blake is waiting for people to get back to him on club gti but i will keep you all informed hopefully it will be a good turn out Then gti summer fest on sunday i wil have to reclean my car when i get there lol what a good weekend

    ok just to let you all know the date is going to be 7th of july. if we all meet up at tescos then cruse down to the front . i was thinking of meeting for 7 pm to leave for the front for 730 ish but i will see what u guys think . if ya know any other vdubbers tthat would be intreasted let them know and bring them along last tme it was a really good crack and i might even go up to baz vagus this time .

    the lazer type is much older and the are in need of calibration often . when i was on the course the bloke said that he does not know one of the later type wheel aliners to have gone out of cal due to the way that they work the flags just reflect and the cameras are up high out of harms reach . the only prblem that they have is that they the flags get dirty so need to be cleaned often . http://www.hunter.com/pub/product/alignmentsystems/index.htm you will see what i mean if you look on this site look at the series 811 system over the pro align

    i have fitted coilovers to my car and polly bushes all round but my car still steers to the left and the steering is quite heavy just need to find the time to have a play . if you can steer away from the 4 wheel aliners that use wires works new tool works on flags that are put on the wheels and infered cameras it cost 10 k they had to have it for the bodyshop but i was sent on the course so some1 in the workshop knew how it worked

    you must be very carefull when messing with the abs it has a electic brake force distributer ie load valve ifyou just go pulling fuses you could end up going backwards as the rear wheels would lock very easly . even though the abs light is on this still works i think if the abs light flashes then this is also up the creak and is very bad . when removing abs a load valve should be fitted like on a mk2 golf

    ok i have just been on a 4 wheel aliment course and am yet to put my car on works new tool but my car steers to the left and i think this is quite common on vws . A pull to the left or right is when the steering wheel stays straight when let go but the car pulls to the left or right this is most commanly a camber problem or caster . if your steering wheel moves left its a steer this is normal a trust angle problem ie ur rear axel is out of line with the front the front track could also be out but basicly it could be that ur rear wheels are pointing slightly to the right steering the car
