    i have tryed another maf . of my old car it was a missfire at very low rpm not leads coil pack ect also changed over the cam sensor as that was very dirly . swaped over my stanless system including lambda probe fault is still there . i can now see that its running far to rich sooting up my decated stanless exhuast badly even over a few miles . There was hardly anything left of the cat suspect the overfueling is causing the misfire same as if u pull the choke out to much . no codes are stored in the ecu but have not been able to see what the sensors on the engine are doing as of yet . should

    the plug and switch are both yellow . then the other plugs and switches are again match . unless when my car was built they ony had a/c engine looms ? my old obd1 car only had 2 thats whats thrown me to be honest . both dont have a/c i will have a go at changing the blue switch and let ya know how i get on. also i will beable to use my mates sun code reader at the week end that can see all the sensors so i will pull each 1 off and see what it does .

    sounds like u might have a tappet fella might be worth putting a oil flush in . i would not use any thing thiner than 10/40 to be honest .

    right i have a yellow 4 pin . a blue 2 pin a black 2 pin so i wanna change the blue 2 pin ? my car is obd2 n plate without ac not sure why i have 3 sensors

    Hi does anybody know what coolent sensor does what in the coolant housing by the gearbox . i have 3 sensors 1 has 4 wires and 2 have 2 wires on them . have an isue with my car overfueling / running very rich any help would be good .

    im a mot tester and it should fail really if it was a nice car and a member a might look the other way lol. being a p plate it will have to be below 0.2 % CO

    car is past that this is my new 1 thought it was going to be a coil pack. going to brake my old 1 when i get back from honeymoon. going to do a rebuild of the old engine . just my old 1 is obd1 and new 1 obd2 so will only be so much i can change but i will get to the bottom of it think it could be a valve or headgasket going will know more once i get time to play

    car seams to run on 5 and a half under power and low speed low rpm. also when cold if u rev it hard drops atlest 1 cylinder . changed the usal suspects plugs leads and coil pack any thoughts?

    i would not be so sure that the 2 are not connected fella on the back of vw radios they have 3 plugs its been a long time but i think some of the wires in the 3rd plug go to the conveince control unit or they did on passats its been probably 4 years since i worked on vws

    well had the insurance on the phone today writing it off so glad i agreeded the value at 3.5 tryed to offer me a grand (nob jockies ) got to send all my stuff off and see how much i they offer me with me keeping the car .

    the car is mine anyhow agreed value policy the problem is that its twisted the back when u look underneath, i think the braces i made to hold the amps gave it a lot of extra strenght it would of looked a lot worse . just glad it was lowered or he would have gone under me . the hit was hard enough to fire my ashtry out of the dash . it landed between my legs . i might be able to get it fixed but the cheaper option is to reshell her as its only my time to pay 4 found a m plate derv on ebay for 400 it going to cost more than that to get it pulled out plus it need boot lid rear panel nsr quater
