cheers for the advice. should be a quick fix. i'll look to see if there are any threads left to take a bolt otherwise its the welding gear

i've just been digging around underneath my 96 vr6 as i noticed the exhaust burbling on the way home. there appears to be gas venting from a small spiggot or hole at the back end of the cat on drivers side. is something supposed to be connected to this (such as a sensor) or has some sort of cap fallen off- hence the burbling. i've got to get the cat motd by the end of the month so i guess the venting needs to be sorted out- the noise is horrible anyway anyone got any ideas. i'm going to be replacing the system from the cat back anyway as the centre muffler has blown. will i need to add a new c

has anybody had problems with their mileage clock. i'm not convinced that mine is acurate, it seems to be putting on more mileage than i am actually driving (is this possible/ fault?). i am the only person who drives the car (96 mark 3 vr) and recently have only been nipping back and forwards to work- low mileage. any dvice greatly appreciated (i might just be getting paranoid)

i'm fitting a powertec induction filter to my 96 vr. any advise regarding what this will do to fuel consumption and any setup issues thar need to be addressed. will the greater airflow fool the sensor and make the engine run rich?
