    Just had to change my Magnecors after only about 10k as some had broken down...so i wouldnt recommend.

    Mine does this, the window mechansim has a little white plastic clip that breaks after age. I've Currently got some rubber rammed in between the window and door to stop it falling down! Reckon you'll need a new mechansim (ebay) Chris

    Ok your call,but i've had both the G-Max kit and these cheaper coilovers and the collies win hands down + if you're anything like me i got bored of having a fixed height cos i kept wanting it lower

    Looking down on the engine,to the right the top water pipe from the radiator goes into a 'Tee' piece, which then has another pipe running upto the header tank... my tee peice has sprung a leak. Anyone know the part number please? Thanks Chris

    Get some Ebay Hot Tuning coilovers for about £150,i've been running them on mine for a year now and they're loads better ride than the gmax kit i previously had on. Good budget collies imo. Chris

    /\ Done all that thanks - turns out i had a mixture of dodgy leads and plugs, swapped em yesterday and the car is now running sweet again :-p Although 2 of the leads popped off today and i thought i was back to square one again,fortunately i wasnt..pheww... Even so that means my original plugs and leads only lasted about 10k! Thanks for the help Chris

    i've got those ebay Hot Tuning(or something similar) ones on mine and they're fine, far more comfortable than my shock/spring combo i had on previously. Chris

    Do what i did and take the coil off - it takes 10mins max! See my post on here - i found 2 cracks in mine! Chris

    Another update - took the coilpack off today and found two cracks in it, so therin lies my problem me thinks? Also cleaned the Hall Sensor whilst i was there..

    It was defo oil but only on 3 plugs and It is very possible they werent torqued up. Ran my ocde reader and there arent any fault codes.

    Bit of an update..thelumpyness is actually a miss.. Checked all the plugs/leads today and 3 of them had oil on them :-\, so i cleaned them and the leads up and went for a spin. Still missing but not as bad as it was. So what causes oil on the plugs? hopefully me cleaning them has sorted that? Does it sound like it could be the Coil Pack? or should i stick to finding out why the plugs were covered in oil? I'm kinda stuck for ideas now. Thanks Chris

    Was fine when i came to work - just nipped out and it feels like it's running on 5 cylinders - very lumpy when i rev - although it ticks over at a constant rpm and doesnt feel too bad at higher speeds.. Any suggestions where to start? Plugs are Magnecor with about 5k on them so that should rule them out. Thanks for your help Chris

    Agreed! Mine lasted about 3 months and i ended up replacing it with a VAG one, so buy VAG!! Chris

    Little white plastic thing on the end of the cable? Prone to breaking with age...mine did it and i lost reverse. Have a skeg under the bonnet and you can see it.

    My powerflow did the same so i replaced the 2 centre silencers with standard ones, but keeping the back box. Still gives a nice sound but is loads quieter at higher speeds...

    Anyine else get this nosie first thing? - sounds like a noisy milk float :-p Once the engine gets luke warm it stops. And any clues as to what it is? I got told in the past that all VR's tend to do it, but i'm tired of it now and want to stop it. Ta

    I put a 2nd hand one on mine - gamble i know but that was 2 years ago and it's still going strong...cost £35...
