  1. Hmmm..tempted in some of these myself.I've got the blokes phone number so i may give him a call although would like to hear a report once you've fitted them first. You say they're not height adjustable?Just dampening then? :S Chris
  2. Two or three 6mm(ish) bolts welded onto a socket or similar, hammer and mole grips and some brute force combined with good luck. Thats how i did it years ago.. Chris
  3. Have a search ,there's plenty of info around on here. But having done mine recently i can safely say it's easy to do. Disconnect the battery, remove two bolts at the back of the wheel that hold the airbag and gently remove the airbag, not forgetting to unplug the yellow? plug. You'll then need a 23mm socket(could be wrong on the size) to remove the nut that holds the wheel on. That's basically it. HTH Chris
  4. Plenty of them on ebay too. It's the same one as the late MK2 Golfs, the bigger splined version. Chris
  5. Cheers fellas, that's put my mind at ease anyway. Chris
  6. God knows what it is but when i first start my VR from cold i get what i can only describe as a whirring noise coming from the engine. It seems to go up and down with the revs and stops after say 3-4 minutes. Had a quick skeg under the bonnet today but couldnt see anything obvious,if anything it sounded like it came from the back of the engine. Anyone else had this or can shed any light? Cheers Chris
  7. Same here, was with Wanadoo and now Orange. Probably been with them for 3-4 years amd never had a problem. Only thing i find annoying is if you sign up for the free Landline calls package then to get them they give you a new landline number :S ,so you end up with your usual BT Number and then another one from Orange... Chris
  8. Draper do a steel one for about £20 as i've just got one..looks like this; Chris
  9. Another vote for HIC here, £308 F/C with £1200 of mods allowed. Im 34 with full NC. You'll get discount if you're a member on here too. Chris.
  10. Very clean, don't usually like red VR's but that looks good! What headlights are they and where you get them from? Thanks to you i've made my choice :-) Chris
  11. Doesnt surprise me and it explains why all Spurs's black players went mad and the Chelsea lot didnt defend Terry... Chris
  12. Anyone know what the actual part number or specification is? Just that i have access to loads of resistors at work and don't want fork out for something i can get for free :-) Cheers Chris
  13. Jeez...anyone older than 34? :$ 1st VR BTW.. Chris
  14. Mine are the ebay jobbies and i've never had a problem with them. Chris
  15. Ooo,difficult to say as i did it on and off over 2-3 weeks. If you've just got kirbing then probably allow 2 hours per wheel. If it's quite deep then use a flap wheel, say 60 grit, that will dig fairly deep. Then some heavy grit polishing paste to take the rough finish to a pre-polishing finish. Then a final polish. Sounds long winded but it aint too bad :-) Chris
  16. Mine pops at low speeds and on idle...sounds great :-) I've put it down as an exhaust trait as there are no faults. Chris
  17. I got those exact ones in the bottom link last week and as vr6virgin says, they are JOM ones. They look the dogs danglies :-). Slight mod required to get the plug to fit for the indicators(round plug square hole etc)but that only took a couple of mins. I then got some Silver look but Amber Flash Bulbs off ebay for a fiver. If you get the bulbs then make sure you check the pins as there are 2 types, opposite and offset. These fogs required the latter. I also have clear side repeaters to match. Just got the headlights to sort now... HTH Chris
  18. Arch work would basically involve removing or rolling the inner lip of the arch.Effectively removing the chance of the tyre hitting it when lowered. Chris
  19. Bit harsh!!...Schoolboy stuff not to pass the ball back direct to goal...if it wasnt for Robbo England would have lost 4 or 5 nill!
  20. Can't speak personally but plenty on here have them.If i was you and wanted the rims badly then that's the route i would go.. Chris
  21. Why not get the set on ebay and buy some PCD adaptors? Problem solved :-) Chris
  22. Toyo's give good coverage, you even get a bit of rim protection with 205's. Chris
