this Boot/sleeve on my mums mk3 cab is completly worn and split, i went into VW and tried to point out the part to the guy on his screen, but couldnt find it. can anyone help me out with its proper name or part number? i thought maybe gear linkage gaitor/boot or something, but not too sure. same as above for me, happened to me a few weeks ago, so cleared the sunroof drain pipes at the two front doors (inside the door, when u open it, at front side of car) and that worked a treat.

hey folks, hope its ok to post this up here, im just basically looking for some help for my mums new car! she has recently bought a mk3 golf cabriolet, L reg, its in totally mint condition (im well jealous ) just one problem...... it has a misfire!! Happens when sitting at idle, and also when accelrating, between about 1500 to 3000 rpm. after 3000rpm it seems to settle out, and no misfire is apparent. i have had it plugged into VAG-COM, and no faults were found. I have replaced the ignition coil, and it also has a new dizzy cap on it. its using no oil and water. hope u dont me posting it on

My mum has just bought a golf mk3 cab, L-reg! Its minted, apart from some rear lexus style lights, i was just wondering if any standard lights from a mk3 would fit?? Thanks alot.

A while back i posted that i had some smoke coming from behind the steering wheel! Its now progressed Ive located it to the wiper stalk i think, and im gathering that not being able to get the wipers onto "intermediate" is related. So i was just wondering, how easy is it to replace the wiper stalk, and do u think this would help/stop the smoke issuing from it, or is that something more complicated, shorting out etc?? Thanks alot!

got mine on release day/night, 12pm! sad aint it but i was off work the next day so why not. Its brill, love it! only played about 9% of it but cant fault it so far. Anyone found anything exciting/hidden etc in it yet??? p.s. im on PS3 too!

Well, had the car booked in this morning for its MOT, and it failed. Only on track rod end ball joint, break hose, break pipe, windscreen washer block! So for having been sat off the road for 7 months i guess i cant complain too much, re-booked for next saturday!
