  1. Hi, I have a 3door and am looking to change to black A,B,C pillar trim. And was wondering if there are any mk3's other than the 5 door highline that came with black trim. and also did any mk3's come with a black head cloth. Thanks Gareth
  2. ahhh dont worry, i'm definately not a dodgy type, and it'll not afect the second hand market, cause i love my vr and she'll NEVER be sold!!! oh and plus theres a genuine 60000 on the engine and nearly 130000 on the clocks......
  3. Sorry, just read what i wrote there, thats what i was supposed to quote Gareth
  4. Thats the code that came up on my vag com. can't remember exactly but about £30-£40 will get you a new sensor if i'm not mistaken. GAreth
  5. i would recommended changing the cam position sensor (hall sensor). mine had the same symptoms and fault code, changed the cam sensor......problem solved!!! hope this helps! Gareth
  6. no, it's all held in the memory of the clocks. well i'm a mechanic myself, have a friend in a VW garage and they wont do it. i have the function on my vag com software but anytime i try to change it, it wont let me. so was just wondering if anyone knew of anything?
  7. alright men, the first thing i'd recommend is a set of braided lines, they made a hell of a difference to my brakes.
  8. I had the same problem mate, cleaned my Airflow meter and replaced the cam position (hall) sesor, ran sweet after that!!!
  9. Alright Guys, Was wondering is there any handy way of adjusting the mileage on a set of vr clocks early '96, obd 1, as when i did my engine transplant the clocks from the donor car were mangled and the new clocks i got had about 60000 more miles on them and i want to adjust them to the original engine mileage. Many Thanks Gareth
  10. Well mine is a show car, stock vr at the mo but planning to charge or turbo it over the winter so i want the 4 pots at the front and the 2 pots at the rear for added braking performance and the looks aswell.......
  11. hi guys, i've converted my 1.4 to vr6, engine etc etc and thats fine, i'm uprating the brakes now to brembos all round, 4 pots on the front and 2 pots on the rear. i want to keep pedal travel down, so was wondering what size master cylinder would be recommended to use. many thanks Gareth

  13. got it sorted about 20 mins after i posted, it was 1 f ing bad earth to the engine! lol
