  1. just sat and read the whole thread and gotta admit you've done a very good job tbh, have you had a final map yet ? if so what figures did you get and did you video it? would be very intrested to see how it performs around a track and at pod aswell so we can can put it into perspective of how quick this beast really is. just a few things id have done diffrently but thats the whole point in modifying every1's got there way of doin things lol once again well done on the conversion mate
  2. hello, used to own a mk3 vr6 and sold that due to work/traveling and its was starting to rack up the miles, but ive got myself a diesel now and im in need of another vw, thing is i cant find a site for mk2's with the 20v 1.8t, i no this aint the place for them but was wondering if any1 could point me in the rite direction many thanks steve
  3. yeah but the mpg is alot better and im doing quite alot of motorway miles now so needs, must as they say. was hoping for abit more than that for it tbh as ive spent about 700 on it in the last month and there is nothing wrong with it what so ever, it truly is a mint example and very well looked after
  4. im puttin the vr up for sale, its not what i want to do but with the new job it will just rack up the milage 2 much so a diesels the route i gota take. heres abit about the car. 1996 p reg 3 door black with golf metalic (only noticeable really in sun light) 6 months tax mot til sept 134,000 miles engine was replaced with a full rebuilt motor at 85k so 50k on this engine fvwsh had 40k service with vw last week new brakes all round within last month with new brake fluid new top mounts new tyres all round last week mint body mint interior 17 oz super t's -35mm lowering springs apart from that the

  11. i understand what ur sayin loud and clear and will take what you say into account very seriously as im not wantin to throw money away at the end of the day. i cant see 400bhp+ being unusable tho tbh, ive driven lighter fwd cars with nearly that power and tbhits down to how you drive and put the power down at the end of the day

  13. thank you very much, think the 2nd link will be more suited as plannin to run a fair bit of power next question is can sum1 recomend a lsd thats drag spec? i.e. a close to a locked diff as poss. ive heard a few people using 1 begining with p but i cant for the life of me remember what the name is lol

  16. hello peeps, im in abit of a situation at the mo and cant decide on what to do, i have a very tidy example 3dr black vr6 golf with fsh 17's and lowered everything else std, i am thinkin of doin the r32 conversion but here is where the problem starts, do i do the conversion to the vr6 or do i get a gti and do the conversion to this? see with the vr6 id be chnaging the brakes, suspension, full re-spray (to go the euro effect) changin the wheels, gettin leather interior and obviously everything in the engine bay would be changed so what id be left with would be basically a shell (this is where i
