    Hi, I have just been changing the spark plugs on my golf, when i noticed the part i have indicated in the picture below appears to be broken. Could anyone please tell me what this part is called. Many thanks,

    Hi, small problem with my 97 VR. Some days when i start it up the revs shoot up to 2000 for about a minute or so, then drop down to the more normal figure of 900. Coilpack seems fine, its got new sparks, and new leads fitted. Any ideas on what would cause this problem? is it a sensor issue? Thanks!

    Driving home the other day and the car cut out when i slowed down at a junction. Started a couple of turns later and got home. Checked the leads and plugs and found that one of the spark plugs was covered in oil, not a great amount but enough to make me concerned! Should i be concerned? and would this cause the engine to cut out whilst driving? I've given them all a good clean today, so fingers crossed i'll have a trouble free drive to work at 5am in the morning!! Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

    I've decided to go. Going to bring a mate who drives an MR2. This might convert him! Talking of the unmarked cars, there's a blue volvo estate going round which looks like its stopping every car on the road!

    Had it for a couple of months now. Stock except for a K&N panel filter. Plans for the future include making it lower, stainless exhaust and possibly some different wheels.     This happened to me when i took the car to get a new sony mp3 headunit fitted. The car still had the original factory fit sony cassette deck in it. The auto electrican managed to get the deck about an inch out of the dash when the alarm went off. Neither of us had a clue what it was at first.. The poor guy had to spend about 20 mins tying to remove the deck from the car, apparently it was a bit of a tricky job to remove! The old stereo was then promptly thrown in a bucket of water to deaden the high pitched wail! Good job i didn't want it!

    I've just bought a Sony CDX-F7750 CD/MP3 Player for my car. I needed to replace the cassette deck which was still installed!
