  6. right in my wisdom (or lack off) i snipped the wire of my lamber sensor when changing over the cat thinking i'd just connect them later... problem is later has come and the wires look very diffrent :? wires on the loom wires on the end of the sensor loom... now clealry someone has snipped and reconnected in the past and somewhere along the lines i have lost the ends that were attached to the car loom... basically im just confussed as hell can anyone help? also whats this i think its bust can anyone help? before after :shock: Joel

Depends what your doing about traction... if the diff is standard and the tyres are not great you probably looking around the low 14 sec high 14 same setup no superchrager...get the traction sorted and your looking at low 13 secs with supercharger... add some NOS and your looking mid 12 secs check out this site for all your VR6 Mk2 needs btw its a temp url the club is on its way to sorting out a proper one http://85.234.139.72/board/index.php?sid=10d7ea4e19dc6defb09cac1dc497e118 Joel
  9. Hi all, Ok i have a 5" taco, Water temp and oil pressure to guage to fit to the VR6 engine... a how to guide from someone woudl be god send... a simple nudge in the right direction would be cool... Thanks Joel
  10. true about rec time you can sit at the start fir 5 seconds if you want and that still wont effect your over all time... J

Could be a immobiliser problem this stops spark and fuel pump running... lucky my mate was a alarm wizard and some how he jimmed a wire across two others and solved it... not much help but may steer you in the right direction the two wires where on the ignition..the beauty is you can dissconnect this wire and the car is immobilised again handy for me as im having a push button start J

  14. this definatly has a single chain so your saying its an OBD2 engine... must be the diffrent engine in the car J
  15. ok this weekend i settled down to do my timing chains... eveyrthing was gong great had the chains off put the bottom one on and went to put the top on but ggaarr the chain they had given me for the type of car and year was diffrent to the chain i took off!! Ok the chain on my car is a single or (simpelx) chain the chain the had given me was a double or (duplex) chain... does this mean i have a diffrent vr6 engine coudl it be a golf engine 2.8ltr and not a corrado2.9ltr.. even though the engine came out of a corrado shell! does anyone know why there is a diffrence here? ggaarr :cry: Thanks

Hi All, just picked up a scrapped corrado for the engine planning on putting it into a mk2 golf... the engine is still in the car my idea was get the engien running where it was first before taking it out and putting in the golf... now my firts problem is seems its totaly dead when you turn the key hoeping its just a flat battery... but can't help having this niggling feeling its something elctrical... for the following reasons my first question is. box of relays a fueses on the right hand side of the steering wheel what do these control looks like they have been unplugged (yellow plugs?)
  17. Why choose a turbo over a superchrager? that seems to be the prefered way of getting more from a VR6.. a SC would give you more grunt first off and hold it through the rev range as a turbo only gives all power between certian revs... J
