hey guys im totally lost with my 95 passat, after doing the timing chains months ago i havent been able to shake a miss all through the rev range, ive checked the ignition system which seems to be working fine, changed plugs, cleaned the tb, pulled off & reconnected all the sensors that i can think of (all changing the note of the motor), i even bought a cable to connect the car up to the laptop but the program i got needs a password & wont give me any info ??? im lost the only things i can think of is vacuum leak or faulty injectors even though it sounds like ignition & runs rich

hey guys checked them & they are tight as, also went through the rest of the wrining in the engine bay & it all seems ok, i have no dash at all no gauges no mfa, any other ideas? thanks again

which earth wire was it? the only one i can think of is the thick one coming from the battery>>>>?

Hey guys i just finished putting the car back together from doing the timing chain retainers, clutch & a few other things & now i have no dash lights, MFA, & guages, the car also doesnt seem to be running right it has a miss (which could be the leads) as it has happened before (need to look at the coil packs as well, but dont want to be running it to long just in case its over heating.... has anyone had this problem before or got a wiring diagram so i can try & track the problem........ any help would be great as VW in australia are a bunch of idiots & have NO IDEA when it

hey guys finally had time to pull the engine appart to have a look at it & its the retainers on the timing chain, i also noticed that the head gasket was leaking a little bit of water to i decided to pull the head off also, i'll be pullling the sump off tomorrow & checking the bearings to make sure its all good before i slap it all back together, well thats after i get the parts in which could take up to 3 weeks through VW are there any places that you would recomend that could send the parts over for a reasonable price over there? also what else should i be looking at & replacing -
Hey guys, my 1995 passat has developed a major engine rattle on idle & goes all the way up the rev range, its quite loud & im really worried to the point where i havent driven it in 2 weeks. I spoke to our local vw specialist as my first guess was the bottom end, but he told me he has never seen one let go & it would more then likely be lifters, i told him that it sounded like it was coming from the lower part of the engine, but he ensured me that the engines are well baffled & it was a sticky lifter & to change & condition the oil & do a flush & it would go awa

hey guys can you give me anymore info on the 'quaife 6 speed' is it an add on kit to our current box or a new box? im in australia so it would be hard for me to have someone over there to build my box, but would be able to do it myself

hey guys these guys can reprogram an ecu for $250 US, he told me that he is able to do a custom tune for cams as i may look at getting 260deg cams (or near) if i do this ..... any reports?

well i guess that was answered pretty quickly & no i wasnt born last minute & magic beans sound interesting -
i also have the same problem, but when i give it a few pumps, it builds up pressure, the system just needs a bleed the same way you would bleed the brake system. i havent bothered with mine as yet but will need to soon.....

guys i really dont think they would do to much remember up to 5% tested on an 800hp 40psi engine, i would have my money & put it towards something a little more proven. I cant see it changing inner manifold temps to much at all, let alone giving you extra power......

I have a mazda rx7 with a 12a turbo rotary engine in it, its had a LOT of work done to it & makes 250kw at the treads. its also done an 11.5 at 118mph down the 1/4 (with a bad gear box) im hoping to get it into the high 10's shortley with a few other mods. here are a few pics tis is the engine bay at the moment, a few more mods & polishing i hope the pics arnt to big
