Sorted it guys, just needed the PC2-18-4 adaptor £13.99 from Halfords. Works perfectly now

I went in my mates polo gti the other day and i didnt think it felt that quick. I've only recently got my VR but i reckon from what ive experienced that it would wee all over a polo gti. I guess to really decide i would have to also drive the polo but simply from being a passenger in that and driving my VR, it doesnt seem like it would stand a chance, in any gear!

I hope I don't need a new ignition barrel! I had to fit one of those to my old 306 and it was an absolute bastid of a job! Im going to try and sort it tomorrow so will let you know how it goes!

I don't know bud, how would I find out? I just connected the unit with the isoplug block connectors, they are like 2 plastic blocks with all the wires in and they just clip together :S Someone told me I need something called a PC2-18-4 adaptor......!? Does this make any sense to anyone?

Right guys, I have swapped the red and yellow wires round which was easy, it now does not lose memory but still turns off when you turn the engine on. What do i try next....pleeeeaase!?

I have just bought a sony cd/radio headunit (CDX GT200) and fitted it, already had the iso-plug block connectors so plugged straight in - fine. Only problem is it only works when the engine is OFF! Soon as i start the engine it turns off, stays off and when you turn the headunit back on after the engine is off it has reset all settings. The previous head unit did the same thing which was one of the reasons for replacing it! Please help, any suggestions/help appreciated! Cheers, Tom

Thats a new one on me... Try it mate, a friend of mine did his rockers on his 106 gti and they came up really well, it removes all the pitting and cack on the ali then you can use a metal polish like autosol once the surface is nice and smooth Not many people know about the brown sauce method!
