  1. Guys and gals, I have a new set of rear lights (and saving for a crystal front set of fogs etc) and want to get the silver look lamps that flash amber for the indicators. I Don't think I want the fried egg look. What have you guys got (type, volts and watts) and where is the best place to get 'em? Cheers
  2. So what do you think??? Something we all meed? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-GOLF-MK3-MK-3-III-FULL-BODYKIT-BODY-KIT_W0QQitemZ230040856636QQihZ013QQcategoryZ72207QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  3. Interested in this Also. My drivers window will go up on the auto function to half way and then go all the way down. (I am assuming anti-trap). If i keep the switch pulled I can then do it manually, but it will stop at the half way up point and I will have to recycle the switch. Also if I try and do it over 50mph the window will not sit in its fully closed position. Almost as if the glass wrong shape. drop below 50 and it will close with a clunk when i activate the switch. Ideas please
  4. Why didn't I think of that....... Blinding Idea
  5. must admit my first reaction was flat battery. try an old school check - put your headlights on and see if they dim noticeably or go off when the ignition is turned. If they do sounds like the battery alternator set up.

  8. do you mean one that works of a database within the module or are you talking not stricktly cosher hide the sensor behind the number plate sensor types for the man in the field?
  9. Just to add with the Koni option one above then usually the front are 360 degree and the rears are 720 so remember to alter equally on a ratio basis. So for the rears you will have to find the max or min to use as a start point whilst remembering how far you turned which way from your start point - if you see what I mean and as you have taken the rears off worth getting them alighned just to ensure all is good after
  10. I looked at 'em as I do a lot of travelling and this is what I found. I eventually got Tom Tom for my PDA however, Garmin Navman and Tom Tom are brand leaders. (Bit of an xbox vs ps2 debate this) Tom Tom has more stuff you can add to it easily (voices etc) and Garmin/Navman tends to be a bit cheaper. but this is a what suits you debate tbh. I know people who swear by every brand! They do what they say and tbh the one that is the right price on the day is the one for you. Before you buy go into a quality shop and have a play and decide which of the options you need and want. The only bit of a

  16. Ladies and Gents, I'm doing some research for next year. I am looking for a specialist exhaust company in the London / Herts area. I am going to get a purpose made stainless exhaust next year (at some point) and am looking for a recommended company in this part of the world. http://www.longlife.co.uk/ is a company I've heard of and they will do a system from the cat for about £350 inc vat - fitted. Life guarantee and no service visits and is transferable with the car 304 stainless and tig welded 2mm (very sexy for an exhuast) :-p http://www.zeroexhausts.co.uk/ is a one man band (who als

There is a link on here from a week or 2 ago if I/you can find it. There was a discussion about which Miltek/Powerflow etc. I cant remeber it all but there were concerns over some quality of product and fitting. For example. Pwerflow was ok but it was only as good as the blokes that fitted it so you needed to find a reccomended place. There was the other aspect of made to order stuff but again depends on where you go. Cost wise all were in the same ball park. I'll try and find the thread. But have a look also. Worth a read
  20. I'm sure someone else will argue these points and it is as I understand. Well the theory, like I said, as I understand it is that the 16inch wheels give best combination to provide handling/performance vs looks on a standard road car and still not need arch works as long as you stay on the table below and within the ride height limits too. (17's are, I'm told, all about the looks) If you go 17's or even 18's you can obviously put larger low profiles on which will improve body roll issues from a track day perspective and can still leave you with the speedo reading true. Also if you do this you
