AS always 5 cylinders and a turbo goes a long way in my world mate it to a RS badge and SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD.. Though I would say.. If I won the garage would be bigger than the house as I do have a soft spot for loadsa cars... from mexico/Stratos/500 fiats... Something for all occasions then and probably the same cost all in as a lambo

Soooo.... It is approaching! When is everyone ganna break out the full cleaning kit and spend the weekend with the tooth brush on those hard to get to areas? Maybe it should be the first meet of the year...Call it the big clean and everyone cleans all the cars at once and helps each other .... Dunno where it could happen though... Hi folks after a bit of a tour guide please... So I will be working in Dublin for a while (12 weeks or so and may incorporate some weekends) and I am looking at some options of hotels/areas. So I was hoping a loverrrly chap or Lady could give me the low down on a couple of areas please??? It can't just be me.... Can it??? I travel a lot and I feel that it is making me more of a grumpy old man! Now these simple ideas apply to trains and Planes... But so as not to complicate things... I will talk about planes... I can pretty much bet that everytime you approach a desk or a person in uniform. You have an action to perform. So why are people alwasy so surprised and unpreperred? Step one the first people you see are at the check in... I am confident in suggesting you will need passport and a reference number... So why do you need to rummage to find them? Big End Bearings failed twice :(

so my basic questions off the bat are this.. If things were reground were the correct oversize aspects re-fitted... (Plus x thousands etc). During the install was the process followed correctly? Pre&post-oil and torque figures used. With the same cylinder is the oil flow correct to that area? Block flow somewhere.. The bearings basically fail becasue of friction or force. So not enough oil or too tight vs. what is causing the impact? I assume you did shaft bearings and did little end bearing when shaft and pistons were replaced.. and you are confident everything is straight on that -

Okay.... So I have spent the recent 3 weeks having to deal with the general public on the roads... yes! It isnt that balanced an engine as you have an odd number as it goes and yes it may give you torquey steer when you boot it... but that depends what you actulaay fit... 500BHP+turbo?? but why not do it..??

See now I like any car that has had work done to it like that.... I like the new engine in the old car thing... For example I would love to use a audi 100 coupe from back in the day and make it a 5cylinder turbo monster as I like the looks but not the 1.8 carb engine.... (yes the new RS3/etc engine) Blasphemy????

yeah... I was going to say that it is more known as media blasting now as nuts/glass/plastic is used rather than sand as it is less abraisive to the surface of the material etc... "Greeen" as well in some cases...

As above... it usually takes about 5-10mins for all the guages (Water & Oil) to get up to temperature. I to would just check that everything is flowing.. you have water in the expansion tank, a thermostat, the guage is actually working... (bowl of hot water and the sensor). Radiator Fans kick in.. Yes the engine bay does get warm and if you are stood next to the car with it running on a cold day that waft past the drivers side when it kicks in is always worthwhile.... LOL.. As it hasnt been run in a while I would be tempted to flush the systems any way just for peice of mind... -

Anyone into DUBstep at all???? Now I realise this makes me old as I dont just know.... However.... I ask as I have come across a few tunes I like... and before I go and get carried away and purchse a pants CD/itune thing... Who knows anything??? Is it a bit like the old rave/dance/house scene where you can go from Acid Jazz through to Drum N BAss? For example... I kinda like the more ambient feeling ones like a so.... All direction appreciated... and please keep old comments to yourselves...
