I was out and about all day today and no matter where I was I came a across sweet Cars. Started with R32 black R32 Silver Red slammed raddo g60 on Borbets Progressed to another mk2 then a rather tasty mk3 P plate on 16s with DUB on the boot Then a couple of other cars... Astons Lambos Farraris F430s and the likes Vette Some American old skool pick up but was sweet R8 all blacked out.. Few Old skool Beetles then a convoy of R32s all driven by blonds... Go fi
  3. well done there chaps... so whats next? Just enjoy for a while???
  4. it may well work but as the £/$ is pants thats a lot. you could use the extra to turbo or even if I recall correctly upgrade to the next level..
  5. someone can advise me on this... Is the mount/fitment the same as say the 2l? you can always use smaller engine parts as long as the ratios and fitments are the same... Just makes idle a pain as there is no mass in it... if getting it drilled get it done by some one who knows how to otherwise it will give you issues
  6. is the car FI? Is the exhaust glowing anywhere or just blummin hot?

    vr6 polo???

i am sure the Phirm have done one. I also think they made it a 4wd as the TT system fits straight on. well mk 4 at least from memory..
  8. Well, I would partially agree there bud . You will always run better with a air flow monitor of some kind as this allows the engine management to run much more accurately. The standard ECU is very capable and remaps are very good which allow you to keep a large amount of other systems standard functions. Keeps the OEM feel. TBH unless you are looking to up the power then the 4" is of no real benefit at this time. You will also get better results with a cold air path so as to avoid the heat soak caused in the engine bay as it is currently in the pictures... (cold air allows for better ign
  9. contact sparkz, vr6pete off here as they have converted themselves (may be more just the ones i can remember) and mk2vr6 owners club..... there me old fruit..
  10. I had to get a new PC. my old one died. We use outlook for our diaries etc and the new Vista machine doenst have it as std. Having done a quick search it seems that it doesnt exist. 11. in 2 minds... yeah but no but yeah... like...
  12. nice and understated.. get the stage 2 done...
  13. Ask if he will give you his garage...... then you have 2 cars in the garage. then make sure you rev the car as you leave every morning..... Also suggest that as he fought in the war... then maybe he should lead the way with smaller cars to save the planet. Then you are not being perceived as the young man with issues. I assume he has time on his hands... so is likely to start further headaches for you. My old man is just the same...... "if he was in charge... but then wont do anything to change anything..." Put it back in his court... He wont expect a reasonable suggestion from you... Of c
  14. Sorry I have to disagree there bud. Charger is cheaper than Turbo due to the engine mods and time needed on a turbo.... (l)
  15. also mr tomtomvr6. if you premium membership up then you get the how to guides... if you want tyre screaming in 4th at 70 then..... turbo all the way................... like the guys have said. It is a topic covered a lot so join up...and do a search ...
  16. Couple of things here. Keep the standard injectors and regulator in place. the car will run rich. the car needs usually around 500miles minimum to bed in if new parts are there. the car will run fine but you need to keep the rpm low less than 3k. The downside of it running rich is that the excess fuel goes into the CAT. So don't leave it for weeks. VF can issue a chip but to be honest the car will actually run better on a standard map etc. Once everything is bedded in get if remapped asap. The trip to Stealth or the likes is worth it just for the trip home. So book your map. fit it a
  17. the psi level is dictated by the pulley size on any individual manufacturers turbine. I forget the values of the top of my head. but if you review the bit in the members section you will see the VF9 ratings towards the end of the the build FAQ thread. I have a VF9 stage 2 set up and i am only running at 260ish. but the curve and delivery is really smooth. the spool up is instant but the individual map and charger set up will vary from an rpm level as to what boost you achive when. if you're at 12psi at 7k then you would expect 6psi at roughly 3.5k, based on a linear curve with standard
  18. Like a few have said.... I see one real difference. How long are you keeping the car/engine? If you change every year then being able to bolt the system together and get usable performance in a day with no mods to the internals then charger all the way. If you are keeping it and are a fan of the engine then the engine can come with you as you move on to the next car... From an installation process. If you are using the engine block in your car then charger is an afternoons work. The turbo will be longer. If you are building the engine outside of the car then take your time on the engine i
  19. Wellllllll........... yes but...... ??? The pulley would only give you minimal boost increase at lower revs, the size/ratio of the wheel and turbine control this. Also the type of pressure relief would need a very accurate control. if i use this as a way of explaining it. if you are in the cruising zone of the rev range then the valve doesn't just snap open.... it bleeds open so the car would be running in quite an in-efficient way and not seeing what it is expecting to see. you can achieve a similar effect by limiting the set up thus controlling the boost. i.e the fueling etc. that way yo
  20. ok sitting comfort...ably... start with the basics and don't be afraid to swap out. meters and other things can lead you down a false path under certain circumstances. a tone is sometimes better than a reading.. Proper engineer speak that... Right basics followed by more in depth... Battery... turn the headlights on. when you turn the ignition what happens to the headlights? if for example they go off then you have a power supply issue/earth etc. if not then this system is all cool how did you hot wire? did you simply take a cable from the battery to the starter? if so did the starter e
  21. got a company car... Honda Civic Type R :$ But don't tell anyone... I had to it is only a month or so old but at £14k brand new you can't say no....
