    well here's an extra bit to mine.... I am not hijacking the thread...... When I start the car in the morning it is off as I pull away I literally move 10 feet then it is on for the day. I have also checked all the obvious .... so am keen to know this outcome...

    well may i add another thought to your pot. why turbo if thats all you're after??? supercharger is bolt on and you may not need the work on the engine! there are guys running very close to that on stage 2 chargers...

    may i suggest the odb2 lump just because it doesn't have the dizzy... it should make your life simpler later.. there are a couple of 4 guys as you can appreciate who have done it on here. If you are looking at bolt by bolt then we can direct you towards the motor sport crew. Obviously the Cabrio man, I think it was Gragsey and I know personally that Sparkz has a very high spec turbo lump good for silly numbers... hope it helps in some small way good luck and please feel free to get a build thread on the go so you can tell us about your findings and your decisions.     some guys do/have mentioned the whine when cold. If I recall as long as there were no belts or steering fluids etc low or slack and they were all good and clean then got me stumped. But i am sure there are a few chaps(esses) on here whose cars do and there is nothing wrong just old and complaining about being cold if you see what i mean. I'm sure they'll pipe up shortly If you haven't already worth just checking the basics though..

    I know there are a few responses here but just to re-enforece... ok so the basics are... What colour is the smoke????? (Very Important!) If blue you know what it is.... If white then this may be a few things... If black then just carbon and or fuel/timing combos... So White... Causes may not be basic if you see what I mean. Is the white-ish under acceleration and/or deceleration/lift off/over-run? (Very Important!) looking to see if the engine management is doing what it is meant to do? The fluid levels are all where they should be - HEAT issues The vales - BOF/Dump/re-circ is doing what

    ....... Peoples signatures???? The reason I ask is I don't usually and for the first time today I did. So first of all Props to VR6BOY and his work and on going projects. I was quite amazed...... BTW Mr. BOY may I suggest a post in the project thread or a t least the link so we can follow more easily. Assuming I havent missed them already of course...     need a little more info there mate. Where is the CAT glowing? It is meant to get blummin' hot mate so glowing is normal if you look in to it. You cant usually see it though on cars due to its location. If you are saying the actual exhaust is glowing then you have huge heat flow issues. May I suggest you pop in to the local recommended guys and ask them for some help. Also worth getting someone local to pop out with you and have a second set of eyes and ears on the case. As they may spot the delibrate mistake Get a VAGCOM on it and check you are not activating limp home modes due to kno
