  2. I may be a little slow or not understanding your point..... The reason it is light - is it is clean and your old oil wast very dirty.... It should always be light.... I run magnatec and have had zero issues with it.......... so far..........
  3. what are the chances of making it a 6 lump and 4 wheel drive??? It is basically the same floorplan as a golf.......... Mmmmmmmmmmmm

  5. is the 2.2 the 4 cylinder lump??? I have had the pleaseure of having a go in 4&5 cylinder lumps in the old audi coupe. Very nice car! However, once you cross to the dark side there is no returniing... looking at a Coupe..... " this isn't the car you want".... "move along..... Move along" Go out in one. Just find one and test drive it even if you're not going to buy that particular one! Remember to have the window down through tunnels

  7. OK so this depends on the individual policy. I can for exampe on my insurance.. I can drive anyones car and i have 3rd party insurance cover. The car you drive must be road legal. No insurance on the car not road legal! You are not allowed to perform tasks like buy tax disks etc of this level of insurance cover. owner details needed for such tasks It should defoine this in your Terms documents
  8. Dont mean to be harsh... if you are lucky then bits are caught.. Do you want to risk it or spend an hour wipping the cover off??? Worth the hour to check IMO good luck either way
  9. something similar from my understanding. Could be wrong but the basic lump OBD1 is the same but there were a couple of tweaks on ECU/cams and the likes for the bigger beasties the were put into. otherwise correct coding....
  10. Brakes........ You will need to check levels of fluid. You are not driving with the handbrake still on Then after that if your pads are low..
  11. sweet....... have you seen the old classic/retro looking pipes that were shown in retro rides a couple or 3 issues ago? No one will have those and it may go ok...
  12. 288mm Brembo vented Discs with fast road pads. Pagid for me.. Works well enough when needed...
  13. Whilst I am sure you have looked at these I will post in case Misfires are nearly always due to 3 things Spark Air Fuel Daft as it sounds... are your plug gaps correct. The fact that it has to heat up indicates that there is something expanding to allow correct operation.. If you can get someone local to loan you a working lead/coilpack then you know they work. It always possible to replace a broken part with a broken part Air, is everything sealed where it should be. Is the air filer clear and flowing and MAF/sensors etc ok Fuel Is/are the filter/injectors blocked (partially)/ regulator in
  14. ultimatly you need to decide where you want to end up.. if you just want bang for bucks and no engine mods then somethiing like a stage 1 vf charger is the way ahead. Almost plug and play! That'll give you in the region of 250 horsies..... and then you can always upgrade as you go... keep your eyes open there are always group buys on over the year. alternately call NS racing or Regal and they will price it for you. Do it whilst the pound is strong and it's a good deal. If you join up as a premium member (£10) there are a few guides and discussions on the pros and cons of each wa forward

  18. yup rotex all the way for those figures...... things to look at.. (in no order off my head, if you havent already of couse decided) Lower compression engine with Cams and Pistons Good Exhaust and manifold system for that level of flow intercooler vs charge cooler for your needs fuel pump and pipes 4" MAF? standalone may be better than a remap traction control 4 wheel drive??? clutch upgrade. Oil cooler BIG brakes suspension/bushes/mounts/braces/rollbars so just build from scratch then.... Well as you go and discover stuff keep us all up to date
