  2. we seem to be getting a few of you gents on from Mexico. You should have a meet (if you are local ish) welcome and nice car...
  3. Ok so I have been watching a series on TV about a group of scientists in a rain forest in Guyana. Whilst the Programme was ok, there was one bit which caught my attention and has spurred me for the first time. Basically the Presedent of Guyana has approached the UK to do a deal so rather than logging the forests for its timber. We can pay to keep the forests and offset our carbon emissions. I actually think that is a blinding idea. However knowing the way the UK is we will turn that down. So I wouldnt mind a couple of ideas from you guys. I could just write a letter to the Times but what
  4. You'll get different answers on this from most people. There have been stories with guys who run hard having green stuff fail on them and swear they would never use them again.... Discs wise. Most are ok. If you're upgrading you kinda get what you pay for. I have a Brembo 288s Pads well I have found that the Pagid fast road stuff works for me and I have green stuff on the rear. Rear is a little softer. Remember you get more dust of these upgrades so will need to clean the wheels more often I got 'em all from GSF with my discount
  5. the temperatures arent that bad. only when you go stage 3 do you look at it.
  6. have you seen the spark? otherwise you are gonna have to get the technology out. Are you an AA or an RAC guy???
  7. I did think about the VF ones. At the time I got a much better deal on the Vibra ones. (as a Premium memeber you get 15% discounts) As with all things some people like one more than the other. So far I have no issues with my set up at all. I did not go for the competition on sub-frame as I did not want to introduce the harshness into the car. I spoke to their technical team when choosing the correct type and the information above is an extract from their email to me, I hope it helps
  8. VT are the origional option and they suggest the following:- "got my quote from Vibra and thier recomendations were as follows: We make both Fast Road and Competition mounts but some people prefer to use Comp mounts on the road - and put up with the extra harshness. However what we have found is that VR6 is not too harsh with a Comp front mount. Stealth regularly fit Comp front mounts to VR6's. Therefore we would suggest using a Comp front mount (especially in view of the mod you are intending to carry out) with Fast Road mounts at the rear and gearbox end. Part Nos. and prices for Mk3 mounts
  9. Nahhh I would have thought his hands would have been on the steering wheel at the time....
  10. AS they guys have mentioned if you do a search there are several discussions on here. They tell you what to avoid as well as what works for them. I have used the brands above on other cars but have over the recent years gone for a made to order solution. It costs the same (options dependant) and as as they fit it you can get a life time G on it. For my VR6 I have used the following. http://www.longlife.co.uk/ I have a Raceland mani and then a 3 box system as I didnt want to attract the rest of my mods... and Mr P. O LICEman
  11. If you are a man who has a great skill level I am sorry... My personal opinion on Glass is always get a man who can to do this for you..... (side windows appart) If you call the usual suspects they will do you a price. May even be able to get it on your insurance ... good luck
  12. in fact if this is your thing... I havent checked it out at all it just popped up LOL http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?243937
  13. you can do it quite cost effecftively. 2nd hand ones are always popping up. Or new is not as expensive as you think.... Zorst can be a similar cost to replacing the standard parts...my made to measure was cheaper and I will never have to change it again. It is free for life.... Trust us all. As soon as you do the basic mods you will be like why didnt i do it years ago. It doesnt have to be chavtastic. It can be nice a subtle....
  14. No it wont die. The LMS and AMLS series to name but one/two all have cars which are being used to develop alternate fuel sources. Bio fuels for example... If you want to know more have a look on line the companies that are racing them are keen to advertise what they are doing. There are drag cars/rally cars/ race cars/ sports cars (even a GT2 Aston but keep it quiet)...... Never fear even if a solar car was developed I am sure we would progress to silly speeds as the technology and materials develop. Have you seen the accross Australia race where they just run on solar power. the cars hav

  21. Squire. No the VR6 charger isnt the same as the V6 sits on top of the lump (Generally as is a traditional V6 layout). OH YES you can do it. There are a few companies out there. How many Horsies you looking for depends on which kit is the right choice for you (as above Vf etc etc) and finally why havent you bought it already????? If you want stealth it it can be the right kit as is quiet. If my memory recalls there is a the odd guy on e38 who have done it in fact..... I think Sparkz mate Alex has a charged Passat which (In essence is the same lump) may be worth a chat/PM with them!
