So stripped tweeked and rollcage/5 points twin DTW which sounded THE best on song...etc... LHD also.... I have never had so much fun in my life as these on a track. real sheeps clothing thing.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2001-VOLKSWAGEN-LUPO-GTI-SILVER_W0QQitemZ180081731034QQihZ008QQcategoryZ9873QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  2. Outstanding...... I wish it was me..... no one would ever hear from me again as I spent my life in the garage.... Some of those are well rare refurb 'em all and make a million..
  3. A qick button to allow you to print off the discussion thread rather than all the display page on the screen....
  4. how much overlap did you do??? Got any pointers on the process before I start?
  5. well if its just dropping out then its not generally coil packs etc... and more likely to be a sensor, MAF, or fuel pressure (to much is poss as well as to little pressure). Did you manage to drive it? Was it the same effect under load??
  6. Sorry if it is wrong section.. I thought I'd start this whilst I have seen others on here and will be studying the pictures I thought it may be something to add to the list. So can anyone tell me the best way to wrap the manifold? I understand wetting the wrap first is good! So whats the process cut lengths and go for a leg at a time???? Down one and up the other????? I've got the 50 ft roll following advice off the forum..... just dont want to run out .... Thanks chaps.....
  7. get them both m8. if not needed take em back. tends to be coil rather than leads generally in my limited experience.....
  8. Hey Blonie, Where and how much for them there wheels? Very Nice!
  9. which oil cooler you gonna use? I was just starting to look at them!
  10. Added a bit on the Clutch
  11. As I is an egineer and have an involvement with Power and DC - Yes mate. Basically the cold slows the excitation of the battery block. If the battery is old, low in electrolite etc then you get the slow turn over aspect, as you view it. You have 2 options. If it is a refill type - ensure it is topped up and allow it the opportunity to rechage. (Steady drive everything switched off kinda thing). There are no guarantees on this once a battery reaches a certain state it becomes unrecoverable (almost like the battery fills with sludge so capacity becomes limited). The battery may continue
  12. So is that the group buy price??? Is it fitted? ( I wish) is it the same as the pretty picture on the other page? As my temp has climbed and sits higher than most and I am adding the s/c it makes sense for me to replace origional or fit this. Any ideas on cost of the original? ETc.............
  13. well there is many a thread on here about Zorsts. You can go OEM (Kwick fit etc) or you can go sports &/or Stainless. Do you want made to measure or just somink else? There are the ususal suspects Miltek, Jamex, Powerflow (fitter dependant) etc etc etc. Lots to say about all those! I am about to get one fitted by this company http://www.longlife.co.uk/ as they can meet MY needs (they do sports and OE types (3 box if u see what i mean) otherwise look for a local specialist who will make one to order. Subject to exactly what you want they can all end up being around the same costs. T
  14. Shhhhh I got my silver (and other coloured type) bulbs from car care. (sure thats what they're called. forgot the name as soon as I walked out with my hat and shades disguise on) Blue fronted shop that always have baskets of offers outside and alloy wheels in the window! usually more concerned with nice glow in the dark wipers but have a nice bulb/lamp selection.
  15. Did the XSKIN wrap work and did you use their ss ties? Also how much did you use?? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Thermal-Logic-XSKIN-Exhaust-Wrap-2-x-50ft-roll_W0QQitemZ200069410795QQihZ010QQcategoryZ38786QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/20-exhaust-wrap-stainless-steel-ties_W0QQitemZ200069410730QQihZ010QQcategoryZ38786QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Was the 50ft enough like the link?? Cheers
  16. if doing the rears do the berings as its better than trying to refit old ones.
  17. I am concerned about the clutch being a full spec race one where i need a leg the size or Arnie. I have to do city driving so need it to be at least progressive!
  18. Are those your footprints next to the car or was someone passing on a pogo stick? Snow yaaaaaaay - To early for pictures - early enough for one snow ball and a mini Snow man tho'
  19. added a bit about WI tank capcity!!!
  20. funny that I just mailed 'em for a price and availability. Theres a thread on here where some people talk about them Luk Nad Sachs........ If you scroll down the list of new items and read the clutch thread you can see their input. About to fit a Stage2 s/c so looking at the same options myself. Also trying to find out capabilities or OEM one. Do you know?

Whats the standard cluch good for BHP wise?
  22. There are a few discussions on here about who is the best. The systems all have issues with finding a good fitter So I decided to look at made to measure systems. They are not that much more expensive so have a search for a local guy as they will be able to either make it fit or modify or of course make to your requirements. If they make it then there is a lifetime G n it. I have found my local guy at http://www.longlife.co.uk/ to be knowledeable and high quality. Have a look and see if they are any good to you! Have a centre in Cardiff and Swansea...........
  23. Sorry to say yes there is! There's an install guide! Got to become a premium member. Worth it weight with all those dicounts also. Just need to get the membership secretary on line and ask him as there are mods going on with the site so not too sure if the system is up and running fully at the moment
  24. I would suggest you could buy one for the combined cost! Much easier check ebay for engines and add a bit for luck. Brakes and suspension, Zorst, servos and engine mounts, I assume fuel system & ECU, & of course Badges I know your time doesn't cost but you'll stll need to allow for it in the mix with all those nuts and bolts. Just my Opinion... Good luck either way
