    Toyo

I had F1s but they've been discontinued! I had to put NT5s on instead!!! (we'll see how they go but ok so far - 6 days!) Had Yokos they're great but a bit soft so don't last too long!
  3. don't forget NS have a belting price on stage 2 at the moment - se VF Engineering thread! No worries!
  4. Havin' been for a social pint I Gotta add my 1p. In so far as I am learning loads so keep the education going and one mans wine is another poison - or somink like that! I opted for Supercharging as I now see the best area for Turbo is over the 300BHP mark (imo). - though the kits to get less BHP are worth the option. I just think the VF stage 2 is the best for me! To be honest the only thing that nearly swayed me was the VvvvvvrrrrrrtttthhhhhhTtttssssssssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhh sound of the Turbo and I will do that next time in a mk2! I love the threads going on and I didn't know about thi
  5. Found the DDS3 Looks cool! £180 mind! Which of the Aquamist systems should I be looking at??? http://www.aquamist.co.uk/cp/cp.html Cheers
  6. Cool Thanks! So now just down to do I need one? Is it an easy retro fit and will i have to remap again once fitted? Or bite the bullet and fit it at the same time as fitting the S/charger? Cheers
  7. sounds like it...... use a screwdriver and put on left side of engine and place on ear. (remember not to wear a tie and get pulled into the engine!) It will let you hear it better. They usually need doing by 100k so check if yours were done! Or use the premium member zone as there's a sound byte and help there. Quite an easy fix - again there is support on here for the way to do it!
  8. Sat on the motorway I easily get 300miles per tank. (Parents in NE & sat at motorway speeds). Around town I still get around the 300 and yup I pay London prices so see £40 in a tank regularly!
  9. 1997 P so OBD2 I do see other people appear to be running without and am keen to ensure I do it right. However, as with all these things there is a budget in place! I am looking at it, as a safegaurd rather than a power gain device - Stage 2 is enough imo. As the car will be with me a while, reliability and all that is important! I also like simple (less to go wrong) so if I don't need it; that must make the install simpler and more reliable - No? Why the mix in the water other than to clean the screen and keep jets clear? I must admit I don't know about the DDS3 do you have a link or any
  10. Ladies and Gents, I am getting VF-Stage 2 S/c and have been reading up on the benefits of the Aquamist system and wanted some feedback and comments from you guys. So when do I need to fit such a kit and will it help the reliability and operation of the car with the new s/c fitted? Also as I am going to get it fitted by probably the Phirm do you think I should just get the thing fitted and remap etc at the same time ?? Look forwards to your comments Thanks
  11. Are you in speed hump world??? As that will definatedly effect your drop limits!
  12. Dub 25 PM'd you. Mr. Anderson I can understand the Front one mainly. But does it not make sense to do the rest also as they are impacted/stressed to? Font mount VAG960MX £137.09 RH Rear mount VAG885M £65.67 LH G/Box mount VAG875m £67.16 Prices are plus carriage and VAT And there is the discount to be added - 15% I think
  13. There was a thread on here of someone doing a photo install. Looked a real Pain......
  14. I like twin type - less obvious imo. Not meaning to teach you to suck eggs - Just be midfull that fitting can be a pig as the OEM pipes and cut out in bumper are offset (slightly). so you should ensure that you can fit without any rework to the car or pipe. Which will be a little easier with the twin pipes I believe Good Luck
  15. I dont know about them I'm afraid. However the Hella and FK ones get good reviews on here. I have Hella Celis and they work well!
  16. Funilly enough I was just lookong at engine mounts. Do I need to replace 'em all engine and gearbox?? I assume Vibra-T have suitable ones so I can take discount also???
  17. i see they offer a group buy earlier and no one took it up. They do it without software though. So is just a remap ok. I read back on the last G/buy and see the run in periods etc and keep it below x revs and the standard programming will cope. but whats this software and is it needed?
  18. Or use a piece of string and then measure the string flat on the floor
  19. amazing how different some are. All great tho' keep em coming!
  20. Well gents, Here are the important extracts from Chris at Regals' mail to me. "The kit is $3500. The cost of postage on that item is $275.Stage 1 kits ordered before the end of the year are eligible for a $250 discount on the price. This means that the USD price for the Stage 1 12V VR6 kit is $3525 currently. We calculate our prices based on the tourist exchange rate (which as of 1pm was 1.87 USD to the GBP). I know that in theory the rate is roughly 1.96USD to 1GBP but with bank transfer rates and everything taken into account we feel that this is still a fair rate to offer and also it allo
  21. Oooooooooooo Nice box and wires.... Whats that do then???
  22. Well some good news. Regal are able to price support us with the strong dollar and will be letting me know what sort of price they can do. The price on their web is fixed as they have magazine commitments and so it is worth noting that once you have seen something you want then it is wort speaking to them to see what deal they can offer. I am chatting to a guy calld Chris who is being very supportive. Once the price lands I'll let you all know
  23. I have sent an email to VF to see if they will price support Regal as it would be nice to be able to buy locally anyway. Plus - if we were then to have any quality issues we can deal locally rather than pop on a jet or start calling at midnight. I'll let you all know what their response is!
  24. Nice ones keep 'em coming and dont forget to tell all on the detials of what you had on
  25. OK well chaps, this is what I want to get down to. I'm Looking at Stage2 I make it that NSRacing will do it for £3407.50 inc VAT (Regal do it for £3600 - see top link) against the buy direct price of £2769.00 (see above for calculations) All have delivery to be added one just has to travel much further :-p ! That makes it a difference of £638.50. against NSRacing price! So a huge saving no??? Am I wrong as I am seriously tempted! I will try and find out how much they charge for shippig but I recon I still will save £500 even with the shipping costs! That said there was a link on here
