  1. Specifically a Beemer M535i ;-) Oooooh! You wait 'till I catch you... Cheers' date=' Andy [/quote'] That'll be a tenner I owe you now! No, mate. The first one was a freebie :-p Cheers, Andy
  2. We've been lucky. I had an awful trip earlier this year. Sick bags on the tables ready for us, and I was close to chunder the whole way over. Cheers, Andy
  3. That's the route we did last year. We stopped for lunch, and still arrived the same time as everyone else. Having said that, I got an indicated 127mph out of my Focs on the way! :$ Cheers, Andy

  5. I was thinking the same thing. I'm out of holiday though, so I can't go until January. If the BMW's ready, I may go then as well! Cheers, Andy
  6. Benchmark time is |-) Ultimate VR6 benchmark is .Cheers, Andy
  7. Shopping? The only things you can buy near there are extra laps, fuel, 'Ring merchandise, extra laps, fuel, and currywurst mit pommes! Cheers, Andy
  8. I'd just like to point out that I was there with my wife. I did not find out how "friendly" the manager was :-p Seriously, they're very friendly, and overly attentive there. It's a good drive back there from the 'Ring too! Cheers, Andy
  9. In reality, those transmitters work over more than 8 metres. Perhaps they don't have the power though. I'll have to get one for a quick play. The PMRs probably have too great a transmission distance. Ideally, the transmitter should give you about 10-20 seconds notice of a car approaching. Cheers, Andy
  10. I had an idea for knowing when people are coming (for taking their photos) this year. Cannibalising an iTrip or similar, and adding a simple tone to the input. Take a radio to the spectating point, and tune it into the frequency of all the radio transmitters. Everyone has one in their car transmitting a steady tone over the same frequency. When someone's coming, the radio you're listening to at the spectator spot will start to beep. That's the time to raise the camera, and take a photo. I think I'll try it out this year... Cheers, Andy
  11. It doesn't cost much to drive over. Camping is about £15 a night, I think. Ferry is about £60 if you book in advance, and it's about £15 per lap. You'll need to fill your tanks a few times, though! Cheers, Andy
  12. ROFLMAO! I just spat coffee all over my laptop. Thanks, mate! Cheers, Andy
  13. Do we have an up to date price list? Wife's not coming this year :-d Cheers' date=' Andy [/quote'] Sorry maybe being stupid but do you want a price list for the ring or the brothel ??? :^) I have a price list for the Nordschleife. I'd like a price list for the ring Cheers, Andy
  14. Well i cant have a 15yr old with me when there are attractions like this!!! Looks like its just myself and my older cousin! That depends on whether the 15yr old will get asked for ID! I'd have happily gone in as a 15yr old (with oversized biceps). Cheers, Andy
  15. Now with the correct dates ;-) Also note that VRSick is having his stag event organised at the 'Ring for that weekend. I am led to believe that there's a strip joint in Adenau How did I not know that? You'll find me in the back room most nights this Easter.... Cheers' date=' Andy [/quote'] Although strip joint is a bit of a PC term for it. Brothel might be more accurate. From what I've heard anyway (h) Do we have an up to date price list? Wife's not coming this year :-d Cheers, Andy
  16. You are Warren Walker, and I claim my £5. PS: Git Cheers, Andy
  17. I'm the original 'Ring whore. 5 laps, 5 cars, and no driving at all :-p You're lucky you have first dibs. The way I drive, there may not be a second chance! Cheers, Andy

  19. You lot beat me to it. I've been planning to go for a month. In fact, I even setup a page on my website, as I was planning to organise a trip for a few people I know, and members of Bristol Motor Club. Needless to say, I'll be there ... in the BMW! Cheers, Andy
  20. It's an AVI from Chris' camera. I'm trying PocketDivXEncoder now.... Cheers' date=' Andy [/quote'] PocketDivXEncoder Worked! I'll upload tonight when I'm not blocked by the poxy web proxy! Cheers, Andy A little later than promised, but . It's just a constant rattle though, as the car sat at 4100rpm nearly the whole way round.Cheers, Andy
