i used to get that on my car, never got to the bottom of it. Always on a cold start it would rev high for a minute or two then drop down. Let us know if it is the coolanr temp sender

I raced one a wile back from a standstill upto around 90mph and left it for dust, the guy was gob smacked, so we went for it again and i did the same thing again, I see them around all the time. I run a MK2 VR6 about 215bhp -

I get around 30mpg average. On the motorway i get uptp 36mpg, Cars running at 211bhp, mk2 VR. When i put foot down am down to around 22mpg when hitting around 100mph -
Am looking to put power steering on my MK2 VR6 and have got all the VR6 bits but thought i would buy a 16v PAS rack, GSF have told me there are two PAS rack for a MK2, one is for a 16V and one is not, does anyone know the difference? Also they have a expensive surcharge, anyone got a cheap rack for sale not bothered if its knackered.

I just bought a fidanza flywheel, as far as i know the standard one is around 18lb's the fidanza one i got i 6.5lb's should make a hell of a difference. Will be putting it on soon with a stage 3 racing clutch. Got it from the states with the $ rate so good, worked out quite cheap.

Yep i did the same replaced the housing a few months ago, just trying to get the car ready so i can do the big mods over the next few months.

Your right there, just want to know if its worth keeping the FMIC or selling it and putting the charger on alone, I got a rallye front end with rado lights on, might have a word with Vince and see what he thinks

Anyone know how hard it is to put a FMIC onto a MK2 with big bumpers, would be running a v9 vortech charger at 8/9 psi, would it be worth putting on or not?

Already had full samco kit on, had the rad on now for a few days and seems fine, need to replace the seal on the water bottle which sits beneath the water level sensor though

Your a star, i have been quoted £777 for a quaife which includes the fixing kit and extra's, lot of money is that.

Running a 96 VR6, engine code AAA. For the past few years never had to check water levels as they never dropped all of a sudden am having to check the water level every month and its going down, now its got to the stage where i top the water level up and within 4 days i have the light blinking at me in the car, check the water level and its all gone. Cant seem to suss where the waters going, i have samco pipes all round and they all seem fine with no leaks, the radiator seems fine and cant see any leaks, i did change the thermo housing a few months ago. I have been looking on ebay.com and there seems to be some clutches which seem to be going for a good price was wandering if anyone has had any experience with them or if i should stay away from them. Its the Stage 1 kit

The MK2 in PVW did not have a VR6 in though. The six speed box wont go onto a 6 cyclinder, could be wrong

Howdy fella's, run a black MK2 VR6, hardly see any VR's in bradford now especially MK2's. Would be nice to meet up.

The one in last months PVW will only work on a 4 cylinder av been told not the VR. Am not sure if its a straight swap otherwise might have to change flywheel, clutch and alternator

I have been contemplating getting a 6 speed box for my VR. I have been told that i would be able to use the box out of a Bora V5, dont know if the flywheel and clutch is the same though. Any idea's

I have been driving around with german plates for that last 18 months and never been pulled over for them. Get asked about about them but never been told off for them.
