Hi my vr6 is occasionally cutting out when approaching junctions i.e you come down the gears then when in neutral just before stopping it cuts out. Starts again fine. Has never idled smoothly since i've had it - checked all the idle valve pipes and MAF sensor appears clean so I'm after a VAGCOM cable. Only thing is its OBD1 with the two plugs - all the ones on ebay are obd2 so any suggestions where to get one? Also any suggestions on remedy for the problem i'm having? I'm thinking a position sensor of some sort...... thanks

How many miles of 'normal' driving have you got left when the petrol tank needle is at the bottom of the red zone? On my old golf cl I found out the hard way that I had 30 miles when it got onto the white line - anyone know roughly what it it on a vr6? :-* Just to help with those 'sod it I'll carry on till I get to that cheaper petrol station' situations!!
