  1. Can I ask where you got the Tardis from? Stunning location to detail your car btw, simply awesome setting for pics also. Good job!
  2. That info is correct - see Corrado Club GB (Google is your friend) http://www.corradoclub.org/models/campaign.html That's an amazing price. One of the best investments you can make in a modern classic IMHO.
  3. Have to agree, that looks rough as hell. The way the gaitor just sits there :-# Sorry mate...

    Which Exhaust

Search for Milltek or Jetex. There's been plenty of dicussion on the merits of both plus a few others. Personally, if money was no object, I'd go for a custom system with a supersprint backbox.
  5. You need to perform the throttle body alignment in vag-com, instructions here: http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/throttlebody.html Try disconnecting the battery for an hour first though. Bear in mind though that if you've done too much dremeling, the TB will be fooked forever (speaking from experience here!!)
  6. Tottenham 0-1 PSV Some gems from the BBC website... It rewarded a fine display from PSV, who could have won by more had Farfan not wasted three other great chances. Ledley King, Jonathan Woodgate, Jermaine Jenas, Aaron Lennon, Robbie Keane all returning to the starting XI following Saturday's 4-1 drubbing to Birmingham. Despite dominating possession, Spurs failed to really trouble Gomes in the PSV goal until the 38th minute - and by that stage they were already a goal down. Very quiet in here now boys... |-)
  7. I take it you mean that the existing wheels on your car are ET51? Check http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp which will give you an idea of clearances etc depending on old/new wheel width & offset. Here is a link for a new 17 " BBS RXII to complete the set: http://www.performancealloys.com/details.asp?procedure=wheel&id_wheels='BBS%20RX2%20-%20(2%20Piece)'&id_wheels_manufacturers='BBS'&id_wheels_sizes='17x8'&price='371'&permission=831218540
  8. "Polishes" come in 2 types - abrasives which remove a microscopic layer of paint (such as the Meguiars Pro range, Menzerna and the G3 stuff you are referring to but these will only be effective if using a rotary or d/a polisher) OR fillers which fill in the swirls and defects with minute amounts of product (such as the Meguiars stage 2 or Autoglym Super Resin Polish). Without using a machine, Meguiars Scratch-X is the best abrasive polish to work by hand, but you will need a lot of patience & elbow grease to see any results on rock hard VW paint. You should be looking to get: Good shamp

    Need badges

ebay mate (like everything these days).
  10. Birmingham 4 - 1 Tottenham ...and breathe... Woodgate injured again? Surely not?!
  11. You brought Northern Ireland into it not me. If you're gonna comment on something at least have the good sense to know what you're talking about! I don't hate the English, I just hate the attitude of the press and fans thinking they have a divine right to win everything... Don't take offence, it's only a bit of banter!
  12. Ok I'll let you have your "glory". We'll see who finishes with the better trophy this season... Oh, and you're showing the usual ignorance and arrogance of the typical English sports fan. I think you'rer referring to Ray Houghton of the Republic of Ireland who scored against Italy in the 1994 World Cup (for which England didn't qualify if I recall) - I am from Northern Ireland, who, if I also remember correctly, beat England the last time we played you. We also won the last British Championship to be played, and with a population of 20 times less than that of England, have done considerably be
  13. What did you win between 1991 and 1999 then? 17 years since the FA Cup win is nearly 20. The "Peace Cup" in 2005 doesn't count... Seriously tho, all the other teams in the semis treat the carling cup like a training session for young/reserve players, tottenham played their full strength side. Are you not embarrassed by that a little? By the reaction of the players after the semi win and the final, you would think they had won the double! Nice to see the wee teams win something now and again tho I suppose... *waits for backlash*
  14. It'll be a sad day when us Gooners get excited about 2 league cups in nearly 20 years...
  15. I think this has been discussed to death - search and you'll find that Jetex/Milltek systems are what you're after. I have a Jetex and it sounds great but not Max Power loud.
  16. Car = 1996 VR6 3 Door Company = Adrian Flux Age = 29 Area = Urban BT4 (Belfast) Occupation = QS YNC = 1 Modified? = All Declared - Lowered / exhaust / wheels / Filter Categories = TPFT Price = £660
  17. http://www.ross-tech.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=VAGCOM $249 for the interface and software licence. With your cable you can get the licence only for $99. Version 409.1 is all you're ever going to need. If you just want it to clear fault codes stick with the freeware version you have (which is the latest you'll be able to use with your cable anyway). Hope this helps - all the info is on the web if you are bothered to look for it
  18. You can fit it yourself in half and hour. New they're about £1250 supplied only. Come up the odd time on ebay and sell for a few hundred less than that. You could import from the USA given how cheap the dollar is at the moment.
  19. VW Synta Silver is what most folk here use, I use the Fuchs stuff from GSF as it's cheaper and just as good I think. Check the site here for info on chain guide checking - there's an mp3 of what knackered chain guides sound like.
  20. The oil can take a minute of two to reach the hydraulic valve lifters, that's probably the noise you're hearing... If it doesn't pretty much go away then check it's not your timing chain guides - since your car looks like a OBD2 it may not be the chains unless it's been to the moon and back. The mayo in the oil cap is normal as is the smoking oil I would say - the VR6 is a very hot engine. I change my oil every 5000 miles to semi-syn and the engine's always quieter afterwards.
  21. Crap tyres I would say... but less deflection of the tyre wall due to then being thinner would make the car handle slightly differently. I'm not having a go, but why do people put budget tyres on their cars? I've seen people who've bought cars ONLY for their supposed "safety" with 4 different tyres on each wheel, all by some stupid sounding eastern asian make. What's the point in that? Probably the same people who buy new cars rather than 6 month old ones... Sorry, rant over!
  22. there's a guide to doing it in the premium member's section anyway i think
