Thinking of breaking my Golf. Got a full stage 3 VF-9 setup. Includes charger, belt, pulley, red injectors, side mount intercooler and all hard pipes etc. What's it worth? Currently running mafless setup and makes 329 bhp Cheers, Ash NOW SOLD

Hello all! I'm after a bit of advice regarding a recently purchased MK3 VR. I bought it off Raj at NS Racing. It's an OBD2 96 model with stage 3 VF9 charger and racelogic T/C (if that makes any odds) Running maf-less map from Vince. It ran ok when I bought it but has recently started behaving odd. Sometimes when I start the car it runs very very rich, and chucks out black smoke, and when the throttle is pressed it just cuts out altogether and is difficault to start again. When it runs ok, it behaves weird on the road too. On full throttle the power seems on then off then on again if that makes

WHO TO MAP A VF9?? Postby Ashley g » Thu Aug 18, 2011 5:08 pm My car will be on the road within the next 2 weeks, and after running in it will need mapping. It's a fully rebuilt AAA with wossner pistons, ARP studs etc running either 8 or 8.5-1 compression. It's also got a VF9 stage 2 kit. Who would be best to map this? I know there's Stealth, but what about C2 motorsport I think they're called?? Or is it United Motorsport?? I'm in High Wycombe so wouldn't want to travel to the other side of the country if I can help it!! Does anyone know mapping costs too? Cheers, Ash

A mate of mine is going to have the timing chains done on His MK2 VR next week and I'm getting Him the parts as I can get them cheap! It's an ODB1 coilpack engine. Will this use the single or double chain? Also, is it best to use Genuine parts or will GSF or Euro Car Parts be ok? Cheers, Ash
