  1. Ah, cheers mate! I've found the bolt to attatch one of the cables to the shifter tower, but the other gear cable slides ver a pin and I have ni idea how its held on or what the "lost" clip looks like!
  2. Has anyone got an exploded view of a shifter tower for an o2a gearbox? I took my car apart a year ago now and have lost the fittings that connect the cables to the shifter tower!! Cheers, Ash
  3. Incase my attempt goes wrong, would you sell your spacer?
  4. Ranh Raj at NS and He didn't seem to know what I was on about so I've been to Wickes and bought an aluminium push plate for a household door!!! £2.38, should do the trick. Gonna make my own spacer at work tomorrow!
  5. As aove! I've fitted a vf9 stage 2 kit to My MK2 VR and have since read about idler pulleys. Mine doesn't have one, but do I need one? Cheers, ash
  6. Think I've sorted this now. I removed the head stud, cleaned it and sealed the threads and the washer with rhodorseal. Good stuff!
  7. Now fitted! Drilled a larger than needed hole and inserted a sleeve slightly shorter so now it bolts up tight!
  8. Neither do I but I need one! It does mention in the fitting guide PDF about one saying that some cylinder heads are different and may need one
  9. I've just installed a VF9 charger to My MK2 VR6, and it seems that the belt alignment is out. I've just been reading through the fitting guide and there is a mention that on some engines there is a need to use a spacer on the mounting bracket. Does anyone have one of these that they didn't need? Or am I more likely not going to find one and have something made? PM Me if you have one and will sell it to Me! Cheers, Ash
  10. Afternoon all! I've just started up my newly rebuilt engine for the 1st time ever, and on running it up to temp, I've noticed there's a colant leak from the front right head nut. (using ARP head bolts) Does anyone have any idea why I'd have a coolant leak from here? It's seeping out from the nut between the nut and the head! The engine was already built up when I bought it so I have no idea what torque the head was bolted on at. I'm hoping this can be easily resolved Ash
  11. OK so I still need a bit of advice with this! I've mounted the hard pipe from the charger through the inner wing and with the air flow meter attatched, there's absolutely NO room for an air filter! I spoke to stealth yesterday and they said I've either got to make the best of a bad situation or mount the air flow meter the other side of the car. They also said thad the further the AFM away from the charger the better. So I'm thinking of extending the AFM loom (AGAIN!) and making some pipework to go from the inner wing up through the cross members and in to the bumper somewhere. So has anyone
  12. Cheers mate, bought 3 of them and arrived today! I've drilled the centre out, has anyone made a sleeve to go through the hole or can you just bolt them down tight? Just a bit worried that they'll squash or come loose without some sory of sleeve! Oh and does anyone know what size and thread pitch bolts to order? Cheers, Ash
  13. I've got a nicely painted red block here going spare here if you want it cheap? It's got the crank, rods and pistons still fitted. Could bore it out to a 3.0?
  14. Cool, I'll PM You My email adress! I've had the engine rebuilt with weisco forged pistons, 8.5-1 ratio with ARP bolts etc. The charger I bought secondhand off some one on here a few months ago.
  15. SEEKING VF9 INSTALLATION PICS Postby Ashley g » Sat Apr 02, 2011 8:07 pm Just in the process of fitting the newly rebuilt engine and VF9 charger, and was after some of your pics if you have the same setup! Would like to see how people have mounted and routed the AFM and also some pics of the recirc valve fitting too! Any help would be great, I'm nearly there with it! Cheers, Ash
  16. Just been looking on Ebay at hockey pucks to raise the engine in My MK2 VR. There's loads to choose from, different colours etc. Do I need to use a specific type? Are they all the same hardness? Oh and any size? Cheers, Ash
  17. I think they might be M8 x 1.25 does anyone know for sure?
  18. Afternoon! Does anyone know the length and thread size for some replacement exhaust manifold studs? The ones that screw in to the head. Need to order some more, prob off Ebay. Cheers, Ash
